Best Tour we did in Iceland - This was our favorite tour and checked off a lot of musts for us. The tour bus picked us up and then we headed to Silfra for snorkeling. The ride is about an hour and we made 1 stop along the way. We then got to Silfra where we snorkeled. The instructors were amazing and it’s about 40 minutes of getting dressed and instructions before you actually snorkel. My wife and I brought a change of clothes but the dry suits work very well. I stripped down to my thermals and then put the dry suit on. Once in the water you snorkel for 40 minutes. They give you 10 minutes to decide if this is for you. After that you have to finish the swim. It’s a very easy swim where you can float most of the time. When we were done the only things that were wet were my forearm and feet and only a little wet. Def bring a change of socks. The gloves they give you are not warm and your hands will be cold but you forget about it as soon as you start snorkeling. The instructors also take pics as you snorkel. After this you get dropped off for the golden circle tour which was good. You get to see a giant waterfall, a geyser, and a huge crater. We also made a stop to see small Icelandic horse. This was our favorite tour and it is a long day. You can bring food/snacks but tour buses make frequent stops for bathroom/snacks. I highly recommend this trip and the only thing I can say that was bad was our tour driver was 25 minutes late picking us up for initial trip but other than that it was perfect!!!!

You can say you swam between the tectonic plates!!! - Francesca was terrific!!!! Soooooo patient with us. The whole operation was well-run. They let us know what to expect, helped us with the gear as well as explained the best practices. They let you know ahead too. READ THE DESCRIPTION AND THE ATTACHMENTS THEY SEND. It was a really cool experience. I was wondering how I would handle the cold water but honestly, the equipment is excellent and it wasn't a problem.

An awesome day of amazing Iceland sights and snorkeling between tectonic plates - A full day of exploring some amazing sights in southwest Iceland, all a short distance from Reykjavik: Thingvellir National Park, Geysir hot springs (origin of our word "geyser"), the Kerid volcano crater lake, the awesome & massive Gullfoss waterfall, but the highlight for most of us was snorkeling the crystal clear glacial water of the Silfra fissure between the North American & Eurasian tectonic plates! Although just 2 degrees above freezing, we remained totally dry & (relatively) warm thanks to dry suits and our fantastic Arctic Adventures guides (thanks Sara!)

Silfra is a must do! - We've been waiting for a long time to snorkel at Silfra and it did not disappoint! Arctic Adventures was extremely professional and well prepared. Have never seen better visibility anywhere. Hot chocolate and cookies at the end was a perfect touch. Our guide Federica was outstanding and it could not have been a better experience!

Snorkeling was great. - The Silfra snorkeling between the tectonic plates was a once in a lifetime experience. I was worried about freezing my face, but after a minute or two, your face gets numb and you dont mind the cold as much. I did not realize that your head and hands would get wet too, and water did leak into my suit because apparently you are not supposed to move your head or hands too much, but I did not mind it. Could have stayed longer. You only need one layer underneath. The outer layer before the dry suit is provided. A change of clothes is needed, as you may get wet. In the summer, you do not need hiking boots. It is a short walk on pavement to the entry point. The guides were extremely professional and helpful. The Golden circle afterward was relaxing. The best stop was the waterfall and petting some Icelandic horses. The Golden Circle was very touristy and packed with people. Overall a great tout and experience.

Incredible Experience, Great Service! - We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour with Arctic Adventures, which include a morning of snorkeling at the Silfra fissure and an afternoon Golden Circle tour. Our snorkel guide Mattia was a professional and inspired confidence during a snorkel trip that seemed intimidating (but was absolutely thrilling)! This was the best way to see a LOT of Iceland in one day.

Incredible experience - Ivo our driver had great energetic vibes and made the tour memorable. Alex our snorkel guide was great too - her energy made me feel very calm and she was great at checking on everyone during the snorkel if we were okay. Vasco the other guide was also very friendly and helpful gearing up. The snorkel experience was amazing. So dreamy floating over the fissure experiencing the clear water and beautiful colours. The gearing up process was admittedly a bit chaotic and cold - but the drysuit was great at keeping the water out. Only the hands and face got wet for me - there were a couple of others who had very limited leakage. It is freezing gearing up though so be prepared - getting undressed though was fine. And the hot choc and biscuits after were a nice treat. Definitely recommend this tour - and they take some free photos too which is a great memory to keep :)

Once in a lifetime experience- snorkel between tectonic plates - Snorkel part of the tour, the guides were patient and helpful as we were getting into the dry suits. The water was so clear although cold to the exposed areas. Golden Circle part, enjoyed the stops. Each one had their own uniqueness.

just disappointed since he never got to go. - I have to say, I am extremely disappointed in this tour's coordination as my son was not able to meet up with them at the meeting point as it was confusing. My son took four other tours through Viator while in Iceland and they all went off without issue. The other providers communicated upfront and he was able to meet up with no issue at the designated spot. Unfortunately Arctic Adventures was not at the same caliber as the others. They did not communicate up front on the location as the other tour companies did. Although we received multiple emails before the tour with advertisements instead of valid information. My son went to the address from the original sign up, but it did not say bus stop #9. The local bus drivers had never heard of a bus stop #9. Tour companies are supposed to make it easy in a foreign country for tourists and Arctic Adventures made it more difficult and stressful. The email communication he received when they could not find him said we are waiting at bus stop #9. No address was provided even in that email. His phone was having coverage issues, so he did not get any calls. As is normal sometimes for travelers and should be expected by the company. He did reach out to the company on two occasions (only once did he reach someone). And he was told he had to rent a car to catch up with the bus. What would he have done with the car at a random location? They made no effort to help him get where he needed to be, even at additional cost. No suggestions of a taxi, bus, or anything other than to rent a car. Basically no help was provided at all. This was his last day in Iceland and it ended on a low note. it is just very disappointing and they would not even offer a credit or refund. Just repeated that he did not show up at the location. Just disappointing. Make sure if you book this tour you know exactly where the stop is located as they do not pick up at all hotels/hostels.
