A must! - Was wonderful to see the golden circle, breath taking views at every stop. The weather was dry and it had been snowing so the mountains and volcanoes were covered in snow and ice. The waterfall was magical - truly spectacular and our tour guide was brilliant the whole journey with facts about the country and the landscape.

Excellent guide and driver - This experience made our holiday. The driver was excellent under extreme conditions but the guide, Gudjon, was simply brilliant!

Golden circle tour in December - We had Noi (Noah) and a lovely driver Wieslaw today for our tour on the 7th December 2024.
Firstly, our driver Wieslaw was extremely safe and there were no points where his driving felt uncomfortable. He was very mindful of the weather conditions :)
Noi was a wonderful tour guide and made each and every stop so special and memorable. He was even able to make a service station interesting!
He was very kind to us as a group, ensured we got the most out of each stop, and made sure we were all catered to on the trip.
He had fantastic knowledge of his wonderful country, and made it such a great day.
Thank you to both Noi and the driver for a wonderful experience :)
bus Iceland travel are a great company if you’re considering booking a trip (any trips that they offer). This was our second trip with them and this was as good as the first (south Iceland coast tour).
Many thanks!

Unforgettable Tour! - My sisters and I booked with BusTravel Iceland on October 15, 2024, and it surpassed our expectations! The tour itinerary included countless stunning views of Iceland and its wildlife. We were fortunate to stop and visit some horses along the way, and we had a good laugh when two sheep tried to board our bus! Our driver, Albert, successfully redirected them and assured us that such occurrences are rare. The bus was clean and comfortable, and we stayed right on schedule.
Our tour guide, Matt, was unforgettable! I truly enjoyed all his fun/fascinating facts—some of which I still talk about to this day. Matt kept us entertained, made us laugh, and taught us so much about Iceland. I believe BusTravel Iceland is lucky to have such a duo representing them. Thank you for the experience!

Great Value! - Amazing tour! We had a great guide, Matt, and a very skilled driver, Super Mario, who made everyone feel very safe along the snowy roads. I believe the key to a successful trip depends on a good tour guide who can fill the silence of the drive with stories, facts, recommendations, and educate along the way, and Matt did exactly that! In those ~7 hours, we learnt more fun and useful information than during a whole school semester😂
The views are stunning, I have always loved snow, and the whole trip felt like a journey through a winter wonderland! The locations were great. The pacing was perfect, too, as more time in the cold wind would be unnecessary. Keep up the great work! I will be returning to iceland soon enough and booking with BusTravel Iceland again 💪
Fun Fact: Around 7% of Americans think chocolate milk comes from brown cows.
Bonus Fun Fact: In Poland, we celebrate a "mini Christmas" on 6th December, a day to commemorate St Nicholas, the patron of children who would help poor children and orphans. On this day, "Santa" sneaks a mini gift at night, which the kids find in their slippers next to their bed. It's kind of a pre-game for actual Christmas

Best day out EVER! - A truly exceptional experience with a fabulous tour guide. Tony was so knowledgeable about his country and culture, friendly and humorous. The tomato farm was an amazing experience and the horses were beautiful, as was lunch.
Kerid volcano, the geyser, waterfall and sunset at Thingvellir was an experience I will never forget.
A MUST do tour! Iceland is a truly beautiful country full of friendly knowledgeable people who are so proud of their country.
I will definitely return!

Great tour - but maybe not in the winter! - Our guide, Matt, was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining - I cannot recommend him highly enough. The driver, Mario, did an excellent job in what I would consider challenging conditions (especially on our return).
I realize I made the choice to come to Iceland in December, but I do wish that the booking site had been a bit more informative with regard to warnings about winter conditions. In my opinion, cramp-ons are a necessity. Almost every surface was covered in ice. The guide cautioned about being careful at every stop and even mentioned that cramp-ons made the time more enjoyable and recommended them for those joining the south coast tour the following day.
Even with decent winter boots and being cautious, I did slip and fall on this tour - causing me to skip the final landmark on the tour and to opt out of going on the tour I booked for today (as the guide indicated that conditions were likely to be more challenging on the Southern tour than the Golden Circle).

Beautiful views on golden circle tour - rude tour guide. - Not impressed by the way we watched several paying customers be spoken to by our female tour guide. Firstly, we were picked up at 11.05 when the time frame is 10.30-11am. Then she shouted down the bus telling people to hurry up and sit down else we can’t leave…when they were already late to pick us up? Next, we headed to meet a bus to collect more customers. We sat until 11.20 with no communication from her as to what was going on? We didn’t get on the road until 11.30am. Her first time talking through the microphone she turned around and said to the customers directly behind her (at the front) ‘you’re going to have to stop talking whilst I am or I’m going to have to move you to the back’ in a really condescending and abrupt tone - all of us up front who heard were gobsmacked at the rudeness! She was abrupt and rude the entire trip and would not stop talking about herself. Fortunately, the stops gave us free time to wander off and do our own thing away from her. The landscape is beautiful but in future I would pay extra for a different tour with a kinder tour guide and I suggest you do the same if considering booking.
