- Reykjavik - Guests will be picked up by a tour representative (driver-guide) from their chosen pickup location in Reykjavik, Iceland. After pickup, the tour will visit the following locations sequentially, concluding at any location in Reykjavik. (All hotels, Airbnbs, and restaurants are accepted.)
- Thingvellir National Park - The first stop is Thingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where visitors can walk between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. It is also the birthplace of Iceland’s parliament, established in 930 AD, making it one of the oldest democratic institutions globally.
After exploring Thingvellir, including the Almannagjá fissure, Öxarárfoss waterfall, and Thingvallakirkja church, the tour proceeds to the next destination.
- Oxararfoss - Located within Thingvellir National Park, this stop is part of the first visit. After Oxararfoss, the tour continues to the next locations.
- Thingvallakirkja Church - Also situated within Thingvellir National Park, this stop is part of the first visit. After completing the visit to Thingvellir National Park, the tour moves on.
- Haukadalur Geothermal Field - Located in the Geysir Geothermal Area, featuring the Geysir and Strokkur geysers.
- Strokkur - Situated in the Geysir Geothermal Area, Strokkur erupts every 5-10 minutes, sending boiling water 20-30 meters high.
- Geysir - Also located in the Geysir Geothermal Area, this site is rich with hot springs, colorful sulfur deposits, and the now mostly dormant Great Geysir, which gave its name to geysers worldwide. A large visitor center with an Icelandic wear store, cafeteria, and restaurant is available. After exploring the Geysir Geothermal Area and nearby sites, the tour continues.
- Gullfoss Waterfall - Known as “Golden Falls,” Gullfoss plunges 32 meters in two stunning tiers. On sunny days, rainbows often appear in the mist, enhancing the breathtaking natural beauty.
After admiring Gullfoss, the tour proceeds to the next stop. Enjoy the exploration!
- Faxi (Vatnsleysufoss) Waterfall - Faxi, or Vatnsleysufoss, is a wide and tranquil waterfall with a fish ladder to aid migrating salmon. It’s a lesser-known spot, ideal for a peaceful visit and photo opportunity.
- Kerid Crater - This 3,000-year-old volcanic crater features striking red rock encircling a vibrant blue lake, offering a unique contrast between the turquoise water and the red volcanic landscape.
- Fridheimar - An optional stop, depending on the remaining tour time and visitor preference. Friðheimar is a geothermal greenhouse where tomatoes flourish thanks to Iceland’s geothermal energy. Enjoy fresh tomato soup or other tomato-based dishes at their restaurant. Friðheimar’s kitchen is open daily from 11:30 to 16:00. Reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity. Duration ranges from 10 to 45 minutes.
- Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin - Another optional stop, based on available time and visitor interest. The Secret Lagoon offers a natural hot spring experience surrounded by steaming vents and untouched Icelandic beauty. It is one of Iceland’s oldest pools, dating back to 1891. The Secret Lagoon is open from 10:00 to 19:00 or 20:00, depending on the season. Reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak travel times. Duration is about 1 hour.
