A perfect end to our Iceland Trip - The stop at the waterfalls along the way with our guide (Alex) and the drive to Vik was fun and entertaining. The climb up to the glacier cave was cold and wet (and fun) and got some great pictures. Overall, we had a great time.

Best tour guides ever! Also the views were amazing - Our two male tour guides were phenomenal. They were both very enthusiastic and passionate about their tour, witty and have great personalities that made the tour so much more enjoyable. Our tour guide to the ice cave allowed us to use his pick axe to take our anger out on the glacier (almost like he was getting free labour from the tourists). The tour guide to the glacier made so many hilarious American references throughout the trip. Highly recommend.

Amazing tour--highly recommend!! - My family and I booked the South Coast tour plus Katla Ice Cave. It a very good tour to do but due to the long drive, there was not much time to eat so be prepared to bring food and drink with you or buy some at the quick stops. There was no "lunch break" but just quick restroom stops and convenience store stops. We loved the itinerary. Each stop was worth seeing and exploring. We did have to switch over to another tour company (Gravel Travel) for the Katla Ice Cave portion. We are so glad we did the Katla Ice Cave. First--we had the best tour guide (Daniel). He made the experience more fun with his entertaining personality! The drive to the glacier and ice cave was a great and beyond this world type of experience! The ice cave itself was smaller than I was expecting but I understand that it's nature and beyond the guide's control. It was still very cool! We eventually were transferred back to our original tour company to complete the rest of the itinerary. It was such an amazing experience even though it was a very long day. Highly recommend this tour!

Day full of fun activities - Excellent value for your money. The mini bus was comfortable and not crowded. Although the cave was not very deep (each cave is different due to nature carving it) it was beautiful. Tour guide were informative and entertaining. Driving around the volcano was beautiful and super fun. The short hikes to the waterfalls were easy to moderate hikes.

Amazing Sights … but. - The waterfalls on this tour were beautiful, and we got some breathtaking views. Additionally, the ice cave was amazing, and the drive on the super jeep was so fun! Our tour guides were informative, kind, and helpful as well. I gave the tour four stars, however, because I think the tour companies should be mindful to pay closer attention to the weather forecast. While at the Ice Cave, we ran into a wind/rain storm and got completely soaked. We got an email WHILE we were on the tour saying it needed to be cancelled due to weather. When we got back to the main bus, our driver told us we had no time for our scheduled break because the wind was so bad we had to get out of there. I was going to buy new, dry pants but had no time to do so. Although I wore warm and relatively waterproof clothing, I was completely wet from 3:00 pm until the end of the tour at 8:00 pm. I would recommend booking this tour closer to your arrival date and checking the weather yourself. This isn’t a cheap tour and although we enjoyed it, I’m not sure I would’ve booked it that day based on weather conditions.

Scenic but ice caves was not the highlight - The overall tour was really good all of the stops were incredible. The guides were great as well. The 4 wheel drive bus drive to the glacier / ice caves was incredibly scenic. It was fun making the hike to the ice cave with the clamp on’s and climbing the glacier. The only reason this tour was not 5 stars was because the glacier was covered in black lava pebbles. So hard to tell it was a glacier until you started climbing up it. The other disappointment for me was the ice caves were underwhelming. Just two small tunnels carved in the glacier. One was about 20 ft deep and the longer one was about 50 ft deep. It was a fun trip and it was incredibly scenic it was just that the ice caves themselves were smaller then expected and was the glacier hiking was not as extensive as I was expecting.

Not impressed ice cave - The ice cave was much different from I saw from the pictures. The small entrance of the ice cave with the ice melted was not impressed at all. I could take only a few pictures at the entrance.

False advertising - I booked this experience solely on the Ice Cave experience The experience I expected should have been similar to the photos displayed in the advertisement The Ice cave was nothing like it Only four people could fit in to the cave that we were taken to The advertised photo shows enough room for 50 people to venture in I find this is falsely advertised I wouldn't have paid nearly $400 if I had of known I am going to pursue a partial refund. Im not the only person on this tour shaking their head saying weve been ripped off Plus the tour guide was doing his step maintenance up to the cave before we could walk up to it So buyer beware The question to ask the tour operator is how many people can fit into the ice cave that you will be seeing Dissapointed

Underwhelming - The ice caves were underwhelming. They were nothing like the photos in the description. Our “cave” was like a small tunnel not much longer than the van. When six people went in the first person was at the end when the last person entered. We were in the cave for five minutes at most. Vastly different than the six hours listed in the description. Daniel, the guide, was very unprofessional. He used vulgar language and his sense of humor was warped. He said to never, ever drive across a river, and then drive right across one, scaring those who weren’t familiar with the environment. He said to be sure to stay on the path so you don’t get in the quick sand and then told my friend to go alone down the unmarked path. She was freighted. Daniel was not prepared for us. We had to wait as he drilled stairs to get up to the “cave”. He wasn’t concerned about safety and didn’t care if the helmets were fastened or not. The rope railing didn’t reach all the way to the bottom of the steep part of the path. The waterfalls and black sand beach were nice. Overall the tour was a waste of time and money.
