Review: Katla Ice Cave... - Review: Katla Ice Cave Tour with Victoria My experience with the Katla Ice Cave tour was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, it was a seamless adventure that combined breathtaking landscapes with insightful storytelling, thanks to our guide, Victoria. Victoria’s warm personality and engaging style made the trip truly special. She not only ensured everyone felt safe and comfortable but also shared fascinating cultural insights about Iceland that added depth to the experience. It felt like we were not just exploring an epic ice cave but also learning about the rich history and traditions of the area. The ice cave itself is beyond words – a surreal wonder of shimmering blue ice and natural formations that left us in awe. Getting there was half the fun! The off-road drive through the glacier in rugged super jeeps was thrilling, offering stunning views of Iceland’s dramatic landscape along the way. If you’re looking for a tour that combines adventure, natural beauty, and a touch of Icelandic culture, this is the one to book. Victoria and the team made it a standout highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

A once in a lifetime experience - Our tour guide Gunn was very informative and was able to provide lots of facts throughout the journey. Her upbeat spirit kept us happy even whilst we were travelling through blizzards. The ice caves were a once in a lifetime experience. Our bus driver Albert kept us safe whilst driving!

Unforgettable Experience! - This is the best trip we have done in Iceland so far! Denis went above and beyond to make this trip the very best it could be, including adding in an extra stop at Reynisfjara. This was inspite of two other incredibly rude passengers. He was polite, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and everything you could possibly want in a tour guide! Our Ice Cave tour was incredible, from the tour guide to the views to the playlist en-route - I really can’t recommend this experience enough. The guide was also really informative about the landscape, the formation of glaciers and the formation of the ice caves themselves. We were also lucky enough to see a wild arctic fox! We learned so much about Iceland from Denis during this trip which was an amazing added bonus. The waterfalls were absolutely beautiful, and the extra stop at the beach really made this a truly unforgettable experience! I cannot recommend this trip or our tour guide enough!

Iceland Adventure - Thor may be the god of thunder but Sigfus Sigmundsson is the god of ice cave tours. Was an amazing driver that kept everyone entertained throughout the entire tour. Whether he was telling us about the history of iceland or the current events of the country he enhanced the trip with his witty commentary. Ended up giving us one of the best days we had in iceland. The tour concluded with Sigfus pulling over on the way back to give all of us the best veiw of the northern lights we have ever seen. Would recommend this tour and especially the driver to anyone that visits iceland.

Amazing trip with amazing tour guide! - I booked this trip with bus travel Iceland. Everything was very well organized. Communication was clear. They offered a pick-up at the bus stops in Reykjavik which was on time and well prepared. We had the luck that Monika was our tour guide. She did an amazing job. Althouth the driving distance is quite far, it was never boring during our trip. She gave us loads of information on Iclandic history, culture, landscape, economy, people, food and language. She made sure we feel safe and comfortable. The trip included wonderful waterfalls, a trip through the Katla geopark including the glacier and the impressive ice cave. Monika couldn't do better. She was friendly, funny, patient with us and very well prepared. She even tought us how to pronounce Eyjafjallajökull. Although we got stuck in a 3h traffic jam on our way back, she didn't gave up and brought us still to the last sightseeing point which was scheduled, not caring that she had to work even longer. I absolutely encourage you to book this trip. You won't regret! From the bottom of my heart: Dziękuję bardzo Monika!

Ice cave and waterfalls - FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. The pick up was from bus stop 12, be warned this is a very busy pick up area. Every time a bus arrives dozens of other tourists swarm the bus making it difficult to find the right tour. We had a 15 seater and it was extremely comfortable. Our guide was really friendly and helpful and made a couple of comfort breaks along the 2 hour drive. Both the waterfalls were spectacular and we took some amazing photos but the highlight was the ice cave. The trip across the glacier in the snow jeep was other worldly and the cave was magical. A real one off and a must see. We had a couple of issues but I contacted viator who immediately got them sorted. I would never use another company for any oversea excursions

Headache with a view - The ice cave was absolutely amazing. The Selfoss waterfall was gorgeous. But the rest of the experience was a headache. It started with a broken down bus so we had to wait for a new bus. Then we skipped the falls and was told we would catch them on the way back. We arrived for the ice cave trip and there wasn’t enough seats for us. So we got bumped and was sent with a different tour. Was told to keep our belongings on the bus and they assured us they would wait for us to get back. We joined another tour and had a great ice cave experience. On the way back we were told our tour left us along with our belongings. I understand weather happens and with off-roading things happen (like a popped tire and broken rim-which both happened). So we were moved to another bus. And that continued to be the theme of the day. By the end of our 13 hour trip, we were on 7 busses and we saw only one waterfall and not the two that were advertised. The company was very reluctant to deliver our belongings but after a lot of convincing they finally did. They did not want to pay the price of the taxi for us to go to the office to claim what we got separated from because they left us. After a prior trip where the bus got stuck in the snow and we were stuck for an hour, I have decided to cancel all other trips with this company. So overall I recommend the ice cave and trip, but go with a different company. The guides were lovely and helpful, but it seemed as though the company behind the guides are not properly managed.
