great sweet tooth tour - We went on the bakery/ candy tour. Our guide was Mathias and he was very good and laid back. We stopped by several places in the downtown area visiting bakeries, a Greek donut shop, ice cream shop, and a restaurant for cheesecake with skyr. We also visited a gift shop to sample different flavors of licorice. My husband and I were the only people on the tour and we had plenty of time for conversation with Mathias. We talked about the history of Iceland and everyday life there.

Sweet tooth - Fun tour of some of the best spots for sweets in Reykjavík. Especially enjoyed the pastries, but all 5 stops were great. Our guide, Gudjon, was fun and knowledgeable! Recommended.

Excellent Sweet Tooth Tour - A big thank you to tour guides Oli and Gudjon for their many kindnesses, for sharing their combined expertise on Icelandic history and culture, and for making the Sweet Tooth Tour’s 5 excellent stops (pastries, candy, Greek “beignets”, ice cream, and more) so enjoyable. I especially liked the pastries and learning about the history of the shop and the area. Go hungry, enjoy learning some new things about the treats and about local history from fantastic guides Oli and Gudjon, and definitely plan for a later dinner!!

So yummy ! - My partner and I did the sweets tour on our recent trip to Iceland. We ended up being the only couple on the tour. Ester e (the tour guide) was personable and very knowledgeable of the area and we enjoyed all the delicious sweets (5 different stops). We both enjoyed it and would recommend.

Perfection - Two 8 years olds for this tour - AH - MA - ZING!! From the introduction to the Nordic Gods and the pillars in the Center Square - the guide captivated the kids imagination and eating experience. Hot chocolate, pastries, candy, ice cream, and yogurt...the American kids ate everything and asked a billion questions. He was patient, kind and so engaged. This is the 2nd sweet tour booked for kids (one in Paris) and I constantly recommend to everyone!

A fun way to sample local desserts and other sweet treat - would recommend! - We had a very good time on the Sweet Tooth Tour and would recommend it! Our guide, Arnar, was informative and noticeably held a conversation with every single member of our small group (6 people total). You could ask any questions about the sweets you were sampling, life in Iceland, or things to do in Reykjavik and beyond, and he was happy to share his insider knowledge and experience with you. We enjoyed many different sweet treats throughout the walk - truly a variety of Snúður, Kleinur, Chocolates, Licorice, Candies, Ice Cream, and a unique skyr cake. A LOT of sugar was involved in this tour but it was neat to sample some unique local foods. Beforehand, I thought I could guess the places they were likely to take you, and I don't think I was right about any of them. Our walk covered 4 destinations that I recall, which were within a very comfortable walking distance from each other - about 5-10 minutes of walking at a time. It's possible that some of the destinations may change slightly from tour to tour. Some of our stops felt a little bit rushed but that's also understandable - some of the destinations were busy and there were many destinations to cover in a relatively short time. Overall, it was a fun experience to do to celebrate a birthday in our group and we would do it again!

Something different (and sweet) to try! - Arnar was a wonderful host while we enjoyed a nice number of treats as we visited several sweet locations in Reykjavik. The ice cream was the most surprising as we enjoyed the rhubarb skyr and the rye bread (a yummy cake). If you are looking for something different to try, we recommend this tour.
