Whales of Iceland showcases over 25 life-sized whale models, representing every whale species historically found in Icelandic waters. This includes the magnificent blue whale, the impressive sperm whale, and the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale, among others!
Additionally, interactive exhibits provide insights into the anatomy and behavior of these gentle giants, and award-winning documentaries are screened throughout the day in the Fin Whale Theatre, included with the ticket. The films cover topics such as whale conservation, research, and other intriguing subjects. Currently showing are Whale Wisdom, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, and Sonic Sea, narrated by Rachel McAdams.

Housing 23 real-life scale models of various whale species discovered around Iceland, each is a replica of a specific whale residing in the wild. The museum showcases soundscapes and lighting mimicking underwater environment, several engaging activities, and a fresh display focusing on the challenges whales encounter nowadays (also featuring potential solutions). The documentary Sonic Sea is available for viewing four times in a day. All ticket holders are entitled to guided tours at two timings - 11:00 and 15:00 every day.
