Come to the Cave - Vanessa was a great tour guide. She taught us about the different types of eruptions, and what the different colors of lava are caused by. The cave wasn't hard to get through, but if someone had balance issues, it might be a little difficult for them. Rocks aren't flat. You are warned though! We had a very good time!

Bus driver is so kind - We visited on October 31 at 1 pm. The female driver (didn’t get her name) is very kind, friendly and considerate. She took care of a lady who does not speak English and make sure she got off at right location. The tour is also well organized and interesting.

Fun experience in Lava Tunnel - Very interesting experience. The guide, Alex is a very humurous guy certainly qualify as a stand up comedian. However, besides the jokes, he is very knowledgeable and share useful information about the lava tunnel.

A worthwhile and unique challenge. - A tour well worth the money and time. The transfer from Reykjavik to the Lava Tunnels was a little complicated but the bus driver was very clear about where he was going. We had to change buses but again, clear directions were provided. The tour guide lead our group of about 20 individuals through the tunnel stopping at several points to discuss features of the cave. The path was mostly smooth and steps were a comfortable height. I have neuropathy so am a little challenged going up and down steps. I used hiking sticks which are available to borrow at the assembly area. Going in, we had a schedule to keep. We returned at our own pace and were able to take many pictures of the unique features of the tunnel. In all, a really interesting and worthwhile experience.

Excellent guide but not great value overall - The guide in the lava tunnels was fantastic, engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining so we did enjoy the trip. However, we felt that it was very expensive for what we received. The transport was just a driver who dropped us off and told us the time that they would be leaving again. We were not told what time the tour would start so everyone hung around in reception, unsure of the procedure. A little more communication would have improved the experience.

disappointing experience - Not was I expecting, a waste of time and money—a tourist trap. The tunnel was short and not really interesting

Would have loved to go, but bus a no show - We waited for the bus for almost an hour, only to find out the bus came and went. I don’t see how that was possible, since we asked every bus driver if they were there to pick up for lava tunnel tour. Only one bus driver would not open the door to the vehicle and just shook her head no. So very disappointing. I hope the company does the right thing and refunds our tickets.

Missed trip, bus said airport bus - You better be ready to pay attention because this is very confusing. The bus did not identify itself and looked like it was going to the airport, nobody let us know that was the correct bus and only said it was going to the airport and never identified itself as going toward lava tunnels. I’ve heard of people getting left by this tour company and it happened. They will not give you any indication that’s the correct bus to be on.. very confusing and unhelpful
