- Old Harbour - The ship sets sails from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour and during your journey, you’ll sail among the small islands in the Faxaflói Bay, as well as along the coast of Reykjavík, providing you with a fantastic view of the city as you search for the wildlife in the water.
The most common sights are minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and porpoises. However, there is always a chance to spot a few orcas (also known as killer whales) as well as a wealth of other species. The professional team onboard is very experienced in spotting whales and is dedicated to making sure their passengers leave with a smile!

Unite with us on a splendid New Year’s Eve boat ride aboard the Amelia Rose, as we bid farewell to 2023. The departure time from the dock is 10:30 PM (22:30) and we plan to return around thirty minutes past midnight. Aboard, you’ll have the unique opportunity to witness the globally renowned city and town firework displays from a seaside viewpoint. If the weather is accommodating, you may also get a glimpse of the Northern lights. A courtesy glass of Champagne will be served as midnight approaches. When the clock strikes 12, together, we’ll toast to the incoming New Year. The boat’s three panoramic decks will ensure an optimal viewing experience of the fireworks, coastal scenery, and potentially, the Northern lights, given a clear sky.
