Unforgettable Experience! - We were scheduled for a private Northern Lights tour on Christmas Eve. Miro emailed us the day before to ask if we had the flexibility to move our trip up a day since conditions were expected to deteriorate the next day. We were able to make it work and set out in search of the lights at 9:30 PM. Our guide, Michal, drove to a couple of locations with no luck. At our third stop right after midnight, we spotted a glimmer of green light through the lens of our cameras. Within minutes, it was a full blown aurora borealis. We were the only vehicle in our location and were treated to a full hour of northern lights. We snapped our own photos and Michal took some great pictures of our family with the lights in the background. It was an experience we will never forget. Thank you to Miro, Michal and the Icelandic Roamers team!

An unforgettable experience! - I booked a private tour with Icelandic Roamers in November 2024. Our tour guide was Michal, the most amazing and sweetest guy ever! We are so lucky to have had him as our guide. He was so patient with me and my plans with my secret proposal. He captured the most amazing photos of my fiance and me. I can not recommend Icelandic Roamers enough. Next time we return to Iceland, I'll book more tours with them!
Michal picked us up at our hotel and the tour took about 3-4 hours. We were so lucky that we saw them, our tour was supposed to be at 7 PM but was pushed back to 9 PM. We went to 2-3 locations to hunt for the Northern Lights. If you book for November, dress warm and be flexible with the lights!

Wonderful Northern Lights Experience - We had the best time seeing the Northern Lights with our guide Robert. He found them on our first night we went out and we had a private viewing spot with gorgeous photos of the lights and the Milky Way. Our five year old son had a blast as well. He played in the snow and drank the hot chocolate our guide provided. The photos were absolutely stunning. We highly recommend this tour!

Wow!! AMAZING! - Our experience was awesome!! Miro was so accommodating and really worked with our schedule. He got some good shots-you never know when and if Mother Nature is going to cooperate or not. If you are considering this, don’t hesitate-it is worth every penny…and the hot chocolate and mini cinnamon rolls were an amazing extra bonus!!

Wonderful! - Wonderful - cannot recommend this enough! Miro was great in communicating prior to the trip to ensure that we went out on an evening where it was likely we would see the aurora; and what a beautiful show we were treated to. He has an exceptional knowledge of the aurora and uses this to find a scenic location to watch the aurora. He took some great photos and videos that we will treasure. Miro was friendly and made the evening a pleasure which was topped off with hot chocolate and cinnamon buns. I would not hesitate in recommending this.

Use Icelandic Roamers for Everything!!! - When you go to Iceland to chase the Northern Lights, sign up for this tour with Icelandic Roamers, and ask for Robert. You'll not only be treated with professionalism, but also Robert knows the areas where the lights will not only really shine, but you will have ridiculous privacy where you don't have to share your northern lights moment with anyone else but yourselves. The spots they go to have zero light pollution, and through his camera can really capture the amazing colors from the light show.
The vehicle used for this excursion are designed to go off road so it's easier to get to those secluded spots. It was a Land Rover Defender that has been upgraded to add comfort to your off-roading experience.
The Northern Lights are why we came to Iceland in the first place, and we couldn't be happier with the service and experience we had with Robert and Icelandic Roamers. 10/10, would do this again!! Thank you so much for making our first experience in Iceland so memorable.

Northern lights private tour - It was a very exciting night and we are so fortunate to see Northern lights . Our Guide/Photographer was so good and his photography was amazing. We had a magical night and so happy that we went with Icelandic Roamers.

Northern Lights Success! - I can’t thank Miro enough for one of the best experiences of our life! If you are looking for an experienced guide (& driver because who wants to drive around in the dark on roads you don’t know!) he’s the guy.
What I appreciated the most about Miro is he will cancel if he doesn’t think the chances are good, because he’s really there to make sure you have a great experience and not trying to take advantage of anyone! At the last minute, Miro thought the lights were going to be strong enough and we went hunting and saw the lights!

Memories forever / Memories forever.. THE BEST - Simply spectacular, an extraordinary treatment, they are all professionals and know what they are doing; It was a great experience, they also know how to take spectacular photographs of the northern lights and not just anyone knows how to do it, they have the equipment, they have the lights and the professional knowledge and training.
the impeccable and spectacular vehicles, I think that if you go to Iceland and want to see the northern lights you have to invest with experts and without a doubt this tour was a great decision on our trip; congratulations to Icelandic Roamers and thank you for everything

Amazing Northern Lights tour - It was our first time to book such a tour and not to organise it ourselves and I have to say it was definitely worth it. It was a cold and windy night but hot cocoa and cinnamon rolls kept us warm, our tour guide Marcin knew all the places to go to to run away from the clouds near Reykjavik and we have seen the best Northern Lights ever. Marcin was constantly checking both aurora and weather forecast and used this knowledge to the maximum. I cannot recommend the tour enough, the photos we got after were great, the vehicles they drive are amazing and perfect for Iceland. If you are looking for small group tours where the guides take every little thing into consideration and provide you with amazing, professional photos, Icelandic Roamers is definitely it.
