Fantastic! - Long weekend in Iceland culminated with a trip to Perlan on our final day. Somewhat forced due to the poor weather (very wet), we thought it best to visit as inside and great reviews for restaurant and exhibitions. We certainly were not disappointed! Well put together of multiple floors each with their unique story to tell of the Iceland landscape, nature and mesmerising outer space journey that Perlan takes you on. Restaurant was first class, reasonably priced and great views from the rotating deck… great surprise if you weren’t expecting it and in a clear day I expect terrific views. All in all 10 out of 10, less than 2k out of city centre and free parking too. Well done Perlan!

Great insight to Icelandic evolution - For a very rainy day this was a great way to get an all in one perspective of what Iceland is all about. Pleasant, enthusiastic staff. Well organised. Immaculate place. Pity it was too rainy and windy for the observation deck.

Excelent and educative experience! - This museum is worth a visit, absolutely! You need at least 2-3h but you can easily stay longer. There is 20min northern lights show in planetarium, every half an hour. Ice cave every 15minuts and show about lava eruptions. There is great and interactive representation about geology, history, flora and fauna of Iceland, climate change... Try delicious ice cream and walk around Perlan to see capital city.

A must do in Reykjavik - If you don't do anything else take a visit here, we walked from our hotel which took about 15 minutes. We had pre purchased our tickets direct with Perlan, children 5-17 are cheaper than adults. We enjoyed the shows here with our favourite being the Northern lights, very interesting folk tales and science related stories. The ice cave is a must here, freezing bt must be done. There's plenty of things to see and do throughout the venue and you could easily spend 4 hours and nit realise. We stopped at the cafe on the top floor in the dome, it wasn't overly expensive and had amazing views, the observation deck is a worthwhile visit...even if very cold and windy just dress for the weather. The staff here were very welcoming and informative discussing history etc.

Iceland in a Pearl! - If you’re visiting Reykjavik I would highly recommend fitting in a trip up to Perlan. We went to Perlan as our Glacier trip was cancelled due to bad weather but are so pleased we did. I visited Perlan 6 years ago and since then they have really developed the shows and exhibitions and we happily spent 3-4 hours looking at everything from Arora, volcanos, the ice cave to ecology and geology and it was all brilliant. Well presented and easy to follow, even the wind blast from the observation deck didn’t spoil it!

Perlan visit 04.11.24 - Learned of the Perlan by taking a Reykjavic Hop-on-off city bus tour so put it on my list of must-visit before I left Iceland, I am so glad I did. The Perlan features a number of exhibitions under one roof so well worth the time. Highlights include the ice cave, the Northern Lights show, not to mention the delicious hot Icelandic dish served in the restaurant on the top floor. The view of the city from the circular platform is also a must. The land of fire and ice is exceptionally presented in the interactive nature exhibition. I definitely recommend the Perlan, it's great that it's open to 9pm, even in the winter. Great place.
