Highlights
  • Reykjavik - The trip begins and we head to our first stop.
  • Borgarnes - Borgarnes is situated along the coast, offering stunning views of the surrounding fjords, mountains, and the sea. The town itself is set in a picturesque location.

It’s the birthplace of Snorri Sturluson, a famous medieval historian and politician.

  • Kirkjufell Mountain - Kirkjufell, or ‘Church Mountain’, is a distinctly shaped peak found on the north shore of Iceland’s Snæfellsnes Peninsula, only a short distance away from the town of Grundarfjörður. It is often called ‘the most photographed mountain in Iceland’ due to its dramatic formation and perfect coastal location.
  • Arnarstapi - Arnarstapi is famous for its dramatic coastal cliffs, which are adorned with unique rock formations and bird colonies. The most prominent of these rock formations is Gatklettur, a massive stone arch that stands as a natural monument on the coastline.
  • Ytri Tunga Beach - Seal Watching at Ytri Tunga

Ytri Tunga Beach is especially known for its resident seal population. It’s one of the best places in Iceland to observe seals in their natural habitat. The beach is home to a colony of harbor seals that can often be seen sunbathing on the rocks and swimming in the surrounding waters. It’s a fantastic spot for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers looking to capture these marine mammals.
