Highlights
  • Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss is one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in South Iceland with a whooping 196 ft (60 m) cascade. The waterfall is loved by travelers because you can actually walk behind it! Step behind the curtain of water and marvel at Iceland’s South Coast from a completely new perspective.

In popular culture, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in Iceland has been featured in movies and music videos. Justin Bieber’s music video for the song “I’ll Show You” was filmed at many South Iceland attractions, including Seljalandsfoss. Parts of the TV series “The Amazing Race 6” and “CKY2K” were shot near the waterfall.

  • Gljufrabui Waterfalls - Gljúfrabúi waterfall is one of Iceland’s most ravishing hidden gems. Located just off the famous Ring Road, this natural wonder has managed to stay somewhat unknown until recently. Gljúfrabúi waterfall is 40 meters (131ft) and runs from the Gljúfurá River.

  • Skogafoss - Skógafoss waterfall has been my all-time favourite waterfall in Iceland since I first visited it as a child with my parents.

Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of some 60 meters and a width of 25 meters, and you can walk right up to, but be prepared to be drenched. It is just overwhelming standing next to it.

  • Kvernufoss - Kvernufoss waterfall is a beautiful 30-meters high (98 ft) waterfall that is half-hidden away in a gorge in South Iceland, yet very close to the ring-road.
  • Gluggafoss/Merkjarfoss - Gluggafoss waterfall is one of Iceland’s hidden gems and has a rare geological composition. This unique waterfall is a part of the series of falls running from the river Merkjá. Gluggafoss fall drops in two steps, with an initial plunge of 146 feet followed by falling through three channels for 28 feet, resembling a majestic inverted trident
  • Reynisfjara Beach - Reynisfjara black sand beach is the most famous beach on the South Coast of Iceland. Its beautiful black sand, powerful waves, and the nearby Reynisdrangar sea stacks make Reynisfjara a truly unique place to visit and a popular filming location (Game of Thrones, Star Wars and more).

Reynisfjara Beach is one of the most well-known black sanded beach in the whole world. This is a place of wild and dramatic beauty where the roaring waves of the Atlantic Ocean power ashore with tremendous force. In 1991, Reynisfjara appeared on the top ten list of the most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world, and it is very easy to see why it was chosen!

  • Solheimajokull Glacier - Stunning glacier in southern Iceland, between the volcanoes Katla and Eyjafjallajökull. Part of the larger Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Sólheimajökull.
  • Vik - southernmost village of Iceland. Even though it only has a population of about 300 it is an important place since it is the biggest settlement in a big area. If we are lucky during summer we can spot puffins there and enjoy good food in decloucious resteruant.

Awesome 5 stars experience. Highly recommended. - Luke is awesome….. both as a person as well as a tour guide. And on top of that he takes amazing photos. He has great in depth knowledge about Iceland and knows all the good places to visit. Plus he is always ready to make extra efforts to deliver what the guests want. My only regret is that we just had him for 1 day….If I ever visit Iceland again or if any of my friends ask for recommendations…..he will on top of my list….

Boring guide, bad photographer - I hired Luke in June of 2023 for 5 days of private tours with my family of 4. Luke’s website said he preferred not to your with children, so I clarified beforehand and he told me that was kids under 5. We communicated extensively before our arrival, and he told me “tours include transportation, guidance, side entrance fees, and photography. The only that are not included is accommodation and food.” We were excited to see non-touristy, off the beaten path stuff, and to really get to know the country. A significant bonus for us was to get a nice assortment of family pictures, as my kids are growing up fast. The reality was disappointing. We went to precisely one off the beaten path stop (an off-road trail to a small waterfall) in four days. Everything else was the standard spots everyone else went to. Luke was not particularly engaging, especially with the kids. I had to reprimand him to stay off his phone while driving, because otherwise he kept texting on the highway. And the photos he took we terrible. Over 4 full days, he send over a total of 53 retouched pictures, many of them were duplicates and not one was “great.” Our tour guide in the ice caves put more effort into taking family pictures in the 5 minutes we handed her my phone. It got so bad, that we considered leaving Iceland early – but since we couldn’t change our flights, we decided to cancel the last day with Luke (I told him I’d pay whatever he thought was fair for the final day, and he charged 80%). Once we got rid of him, we loved Iceland and finally learned what all the fuss was about. I do not recommend booking with Luke.
