Great tour - Really good tour and excellent guide lots to see even though it was dark due to winter. The lava fields were good to see and the keyboard at the edge of the world

Amazing tour! - Highly recommended tour, we kind of went off the beaten tracks! The first stop by the lake had some amazing views even though it was extremely windy. We also saw Icelandic sheep’s, the lookout over the ocean by Reykjanesbær was so beautiful and breathtaking!! Our guide was also very great and knew everything about Iceland!!

Great tour and guide - This tour is not a full day tour and allows for drop offs at the Blue Lagoon and airport which has many advantages for those not wanting to return to Reykjavik. While our tour guide Starry covered information about the sites we visited, he also provided contemporary and historical political and cultural commentary which added a lot to the tour. The highlight was learning about his anicent lineage and family literary traditions dating back to the ninth century. In the US, many of us can cite family history no further back than our great grandparents so I was in awe of his heritage. If you are interested in Icelandic history as well as the stunning geographic sites, I definitely recommend the Geopark tour with this guide.

Spectacular tour with an excellent guide - The guide was excellent, telling us many things about Icelandic society, economy, nature and of course about visited sites. The sites were spectacular and I really enjoyed the tour. The only thing I didn't like is too many emails from Viator sending me the same ticket at least 3 times. All in all for this one tour I received more then 10 emails from Viator. Please do not spam us with unnecessary emails!

Volcanic Landscapes - Our driver/guide was Gauti, who was very knowledgeable on the Reykjanes volcanic area. We had done the Golden Circle the day before, where you see a cascading waterfall, small geyser and blue lake but would recommend the Geopark tour above that, as so much more to see and experience a wider range of landscapes. Thermal power stations, walk on 800 year old lava fields, view gannet rookeries, vast lakes, bubbling pools in colourful mineral landscapes and stand between two continents on the tectonic plates of Europe and North America. Also the President’s house and meeting buildings. Gauti also told us about Iceland’s political, historical and mythological background. As there were only six of us on the tour, there was plenty of room on the Mini. We were dropped off at our accommodation in Kellie after an interesting day. Thanks to Gateway to Iceland and Gauti.

Outstanding tour! - This tour was amazing and our guide was too. It was very nice to have a small group tour as there were only 7 of us on our trip so we had plenty of time at each stop. We took a moment to drive to the Icelandic President's house to allow time for the weather to clear up and it did! We saw so many neat and different things, from all the different colors of the hot springs to the beautiful Graenavatn or green lake. The bridge between continents offers a fun photo moment. But the highlight for us was seeing the Memorial to the Great Auk and The home of Volcano Man- the spot where they filmed this song from the Eurovision Story Of Fire Saga movie starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams! As another bonus, we had the time to visit Brimketil pool, which was just spectacular. We choose to be dropped off at the Blue Lagoon afterwards, and that was fantastic as well since we were permitted to drive on the road past the closed village Grindavik and we saw the new lava fields on our way to the Blue Lagoon. Things to keep in mind: even in summer, dress for wind and weather as these changed many times during our trip. Our guide let us know that given where we were headed, that we didn't have a scheduled lunch stop, but we were able to grab lunch at a shop so we could eat on the way. He also helped plan out bathroom stops as most locations do not have restrooms. The hot springs do have an odor of sulphur which can be strong. It didn't bother us, but may not be the best tour for someone traveling with small children, but perfect for older kids/ teens.

Great 'tour ending at KEF airport - The most memorable part of the tour was due to the knowledge and friendliness of our tour guide, Starri. Rather than just driving us from tourist attraction to tourist attraction, Starri gave us a real look and history of Rejkavik and its surroundings. We had a fun stop at a market where we were able to buy (with Starri's guidance) popular Icelandic candies to take home. Best souvenirs ever. The only negative part was the van was too small for 6 people,

Great tour - The tour guide was great. We enjoyed the stops, and the tour gives you a little taste of Iceland. However, I would be hesitant to book for airport drop off. Our flight was at 4:45, and we got dropped off at the airport around 2:45. I was reassured that KEF is a small airport, but it was still a 15-20 minute walk to the gate, and the line for passport control was long. Our flight ended up being delayed 15 minutes, which was fortunate for us because we didn't get to the gate until 4:40. I do wish we could have been picked up earlier. We had to disembark our cruise at 8AM and waited outside with nowhere to sit until pickup at 9:30. The weather was gloomy with light rain, so an earlier pickup time would have been more convenient and helped us avoid the stress at the airport. However, it all worked out, and the tour itself was great.
