Family Trip around Iceland - We were travelling around Iceland with my husband and 7 year old daughter and we decided to try this food tour. It was really nice, our guide Alexandra was awesome, she was super friendly and knew a lot, she cared that we were all ok and attended to everyone's likes on food. We had a great time, learned a lot and tried delicious traditional food and drinks.

Amazing Experience with Thor the food guide. - This tour was an amazing experience for me personally. ? I had this tour with 8 other people with the Guide being Thor (yeah that's his real name). Thor made the tour an unforgettable experience for us by his regaling of the food scene in Reykjavik and Iceland. During the three hours we had a chat not just about the history of the food cuisine in Iceland but we had an amazing insights into the Iceland history in general, the political landscape and Thor had clear cut opinions on any questions raised in general which made this more than just a food tour. The restaurants and the dishes we tried were all top notch with the the cod fish stew from the restaurant Messin being my personal favourite. We hit in total around 5 food places which included the iconic Icelandic Hot dog station. The food choices represented all facets of Icelandic cuisine and hence makes this food tour a must choice for anybody who wants to sample the Icelandic cuisine in a short period of time. All in all i would recommend this food tour to anybody who wants to experience not just Icelandic cuisine in general but also for those who are interested in Icelandic history from the perspective of a local. I would highly recommend Thor as the food guide. Thor - I loved your history about the beer ban which used to be in place in Iceland and the history of the so called beer babies generation. Five stars without a doubt.

Great Time in Reykjavik - This was an excellent way to spend an evening in Reykjavík! The tour guide, Heidi, was excellent and a lot of fun to spend time with. We got very lucky and had a great group of people that joined us on the tour. Altogether, it was good food, good drinks, and great company. Highly recommend!

Fun introduction to Icelandic food and drink customs - We took this tour last night and are pleased to say that it met expectations and then some! Jenny was our host and we loved her enthusiasm, friendliness and local knowledge. Our group of fellow travellers from different parts of the world were fun to be with - that added to the experience, and Jenny’s skill in joining us as a group was evident. We loved the venues chosen for us and ate and drank very well. Highly recommended.

Thor is the god of food! - I had such a great time on this food walk and Thor was an amazing guide! It was obvious that he is passionate about Icelandic cuisine as well as history and culture. We all learned so much from him on this tour! And the food, wow! I'm in love with Icelandic lamb and I can't wait to try more of the fresh seafood. Thank you Thor for such a wonderful experience! I'm probably going to say this wrong, but I'll try: Takk fyrrir mig!

So much fun! - Haddy was a terrific guide. I had a blast - learned a ton, laughed even more, and never felt left out while flying solo! Haddy, you're the best and I hope to bump into you again the next time we're in Reykjavik (pronounced the cute way)!

11 out 10, would recommend, would do again, would do with friends! - What a stellar way to spend an evening in Reykjavík! Heidi, our guide, was an absolute GEM and made us feel so welcome. Quite honestly I am anxious when it comes to new things and people I don't know, but I cannot tell you the last time I had this much fun - and with strangers to boot! The food? Unbelievably good. We made more stops than I would have expected and the portions were actually quite large! The drinks? On point. I suppose it must be the pure, Icelandic water that makes everything taste just a littttle bit better. The fermented shark? Can you even tell people you went to Iceland if you don't try it at least once? Every place we stopped at offered something different and unique (and delicious!). We had so much fun with the new friends we met that we kept the party going after the official stops were over. Heidi was even kind enough to humor me and made a very noble attempt to teach me some Icelandic haha. I promise, I will learn more before the next time we visit! Why are you still reading this review? Book the Food and Drink Adventure! The only regret you could possibly have is passing this opportunity by and missing out on a phenomenal experience. Takk fyrir, Heidi! You really made our trip memorable!
