Gray Line Iceland - What a wonderful experience, we had the pleasure of Helgi driving and Darren as our tour guide who made the whole experience so enjoyable. The tour is great and is truly enhanced by having such a great team taking us along. Would highly recommend this trip and the Gray Line tour operators, They even secure some discount at venues which given the prices in Iceland is always a good thing.

A great value way to see the Golden Triangle - We were on a cruise and this tour offered pick up from the cruise terminal. It would have been good if they could have provided a map as the location was not straightforward. The trip delivered what is promised. We visited all the big three Golden Circle highlights and they are worth seeing. We had rain virtually throughout but still great sights and all very busy. The lunch stop is at the Geyser centre. Very nice place but as you would expect with Iceland, lunch is costly. Overall this is a very good value for money tour. Recommend.

Memorable for the Wrong Reasons - We traveled with another couple to Iceland and this tour was part of a travel package. This is a large bus tour so if that isn't your thing you will want to find another option. The buses leave from the main terminal so it is necessary to either arrange pickup (a smaller bus) from your hotel or a nearby hotel if the bus doesn't offer service at your hotel. Other options to get to the departure area at the main bus terminal are to walk or take a taxi. The tour is popular so the bus is crowded/full. They make many stops at various tourist oriented restaurants/gift shops during the day. A positive is that the restrooms are free at these stops which is not the case at the central bus terminal. After the first stop, my husband and I reloaded the bus and found that other people had taken our seats which left us no option but to sit in someone else's seats. This practice became problematic for many until the tour guide finally got assertive and told people they had to return to their original seats and stay there. The whole seat situation produced an unpleasant "climate" on the bus and seemed juvenile; a bunch of adults clamoring back to the bus to grab "preferred" seats. The situation could have been avoided if the guide would have announced at the start that seats would be kept for the duration of the tour. The Golden Circle Tour includes three main stops. Important to note that if you go during the colder season, you will find that the paths to the geyser and waterfall will be icy. We are from North East Wisconsin so we know about ice and snow but....I would have brought some crampons for safety if I'd have known that some of the paths to viewing areas are solid ice. By the way, we were wearing waterproof Merrill and Timberlake hiking boots and they were not sufficient for safe walking. Lastly, advise for persons with any mobility issues; choose another tour venue. The buses are not "kneeling" so you have to be able to do steps with a fairly large last step to reach the ground. Getting to the sites (particularly the geyser and waterfall) involves walking on uneven surfaces that are wet and slippery. There are minimal hand rails.

Not very reliable - Not very reliable, you’d think that calling a day before to confirm and ensure your transfer for the following day would be enough, but you might be greatly disappointed like myself today. I had a whole day excursion planned for today, it was very important for me to start it as early as the sun came up, I called the day before to make sure that the bus was going to pick me and my family up at 9:30, everything seemed to be sorted. On the day, a minibus arrived, I went to check if it were ours, I didn’t even get a chance to show tickets, nothing, the driver said he didn’t have anyone else on the list and that another minibus would pick us up. The only other bus that arrived within the specified time window was from a different company, not ours. After the phone call, it turned out that apparently the first bus was ours and they were trying to blame us by saying that the bus arrived but nobody was there (which is a total lie as we’ve been waiting and looking out for the bus since 9:30). Now, we have to wait technically two hours for the next bus, and our excursion will be affected by the fact that now it’ll be ending at around 7-8pm, when it’s going to be dark and there will not be much to see anyway. Very disappointed with the situation and especially with trying to blame it on us! To anyone planning a trip, it’ll be way cheaper and more convenient renting a car than relying on this company.

If you are sick, no refund! - My husband was sick on the morning of the tour, so we were not able to go on it. No refund within 24 hours. My question is, how do you cancel within 24 hours, if you aren’t sick yet? We were very disappointed
