Additional Information

With its enormous, ancient icebergs, the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon is a natural wonder of Iceland and a sight you absolutely cannot miss. The lagoon produces a feeling of incredible tranquility as the 1000-1500 year-old ice that has broken away from Vatnajokull Glacier silently drifts into the lake and slowly melts away. As you take a walk along the shore, you may recognize the lagoon from scenes out of famous movies such as Batman Begins, Tomb Raider, and two James Bond movies that were filmed here. This 14-hour, guided tour is shared traveling by bus, including a 30-minute boat ride.

Excellent South Coast, top Notch - Hard to describe how magnificent the sights were. Dylan was deeply researched on all topics. His English was excellent since he immigrated to Iceland at 13 as an English man! Well done, throughly enjoyed our day.

What a tour…! - A long day of travelling but so worth it for the spectacular sights and experiences. The glacier lagoon in particular was a massive highlight, the powerful and eerily beautiful view was something to behold. Höskuldur our guide and Herman our driver were both brilliant for this tour. With such a long drive and of course with some typically unpredictable Icelandic weather, we felt totally safe with Herman’s driving - much safer than if we had hired a car…! Höskuldur kept us easily entertained with a vast knowledge of Icelandic history, stories of the sagas, lots of interesting facts, and even a short language lesson. I only wish I had more questions for him…! This tour was a brilliant part of our Iceland trip and I would recommend it.

An amazing day - This trip was amazing from start to finish. Pearla, our guide, and Pete, our driver were remarkable. It was an extremely long day 7am till midnight ( due to snow mainly) and they remained so upbeat the whole time. Even on the way home they gave us an opportunity to stop to see the Northern Lights. Lots of amazing things to see on the trip - waterfalls, glaciers, beaches. Perla gave us lots of interesting information about Iceland. The glacier lagoon and Diamond beach were fantastic. Highly recommended

Glacier lagoon and Diamond Beach 24.10.22 - Excellent day trip. The glacier lagoon and Diamond Beach were fantastic, and the two waterfalls were very dramatic. Frosty was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable about Icelandic history and the geography of the area which was so interesting. Also, he managed a coach load of people very well!

Glaciers Galore - I had the opportunity to make this a full day event. The tour was well planned and accommodated with a full size bus. I was fortunate to have been assigned a tour guide named Hjörtur Howser. This man, a decent of the earliest Icelandic settlers was a bottomless well of Icelands history, geography and customs. You would do well to have him as your guide. The tour had more highlights than can be named here but included, stops at incredible waterfalls, “diamond beach” and glacier lagoon where one has the opportunity to ride in an amphibious vehicle in the among the glacial icebergs. It is one of the longer day tours but a tour you don’t want to miss

Tour to glacial lagoon 1st June 2022 - Lots of interesting places to see - caves, lava fields, volcanoes, black sand, seals, amazing icebergs, waterfalls, farming landscape - all with a knowledgeable guide who fits in as much as he can because he cares about his customers appreciating the geography and rich culture of the icelandic people which he is clearly interested in himself. To achieve this he goes above and beyond. It is also a lot of driving which requires a skilfull, anticipatory driver who knows the many miles of roads like the back of his hand! If you do one thing do this tour! Thankyou Albert.

Epic day! - This was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. Each stop was breathtaking and out of this world. We are so grateful to the driver for driving us the whole day and our tour guide as well for providing us with a commentary of the places we visited and the places we travelled by along the way. We stopped for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there were photo opportunities too that they stopped for. We were also VERY lucky to see the northern lights on our way back to Reykjavik which our tour guide and driver stopped for so we could take pictures! 10/10! Thank you Reykjavik excursions!! Driver (we can’t remember, sorry - but took us on the tour on 12/02) Tour guide - Lieb

Wonderful tour with Reykjavik Excursions - The tour was absolutely incredible. The tour leader and the Driver, both made our day. its a long day tour almost 13-14 hours, but both were absolutely brilliant all day.while returning back, they stooped for us to show the northern lights , though it was not the part of the tour. A special touch made our trip so memorable. I highly recommend this tour if someone in Reykjavik.
