- Filerimos - Begin your day with a drive up the breathtaking Filerimos Hill, which was once the site of the oldest ancient city-state on the island, known as Ialyssos. The area is home to numerous peacocks that will greet you upon arrival. Take a short stroll along a cobbled path leading to a towering cross at the hill’s summit, where you can take in a stunning panoramic view. Before heading back to your bus, you may also choose to visit the Byzantine Monastery and purchase the unique 7 Herbs Liquor, crafted using the monks’ secret recipe.
- Ancient Kamiros - We’ll follow the picturesque West Coast route that connects some of the island’s most impressive sights, including the ancient city of Kamiros and Kritinia’s castle. Kamiros is one of the best-preserved classical Greek cities. Wander through its streets and imagine what life in Rhodes was like in this ancient Doric settlement from the late Bronze Age until around 142 BC.
- Kritinia Castle - Next, explore Kritinia’s Castle, established by the Knights in the 14th century, and be awed by the magnificent view from above the west coast. Often referred to as “Castello,” this fortress was the largest of the Knights’ strongholds along the island’s west coast. It commands the western passage and the channel of Halki.
- Kalavarda - After visiting Kritinia’s Castle, unwind on the beach at Kalavarda, enjoying a pleasant meal by the Aegean Sea.
