Symi island such a colourful “gem” - An excursion that we enjoyed and lots of beautiful pictures! We got there in an hour , boat was comfy with a nice snack bar too. We took the little train 🚂 to another village nearby , ate local tiny shrimps the local specialty . Highlight : our English tour guide Violeta 😃, gave us historical info and assisted us during the whole trip, helped us with our bus transfer too at the end of this excursion. We definitely recommend visiting Symi island , lots of shops , bars and coffee shops to stay and gaze at the colourful architecture.

Lovely excursion to Symi island - We had a wonderful experience going to Symi Island. The catamaran boat King Saron was fast (60 minutes) to Symi. The staff was helpful and the guide very attentive. The island has a pitoresque beauty, "picture perfect". A must see 😊😊

Symi is a beautiful place to see - Nice day trip on a cruise to the beautiful city of Symi. The journey is more or less one hour long and is really enjoyable on the outside area of the boat. There, you don't need to wear a face mask. A document must be filed before the departure to confirm if you have been vaccinated or if you took a test before. The city of Symi is really beautiful and 4 hours there are good if you just wanna stroll around. The stop at Panormitis could be shorter as there is not so much to do there, but the view on the monastery is quite enjoyable. I definitely recommend it

OK day trip out staff could have addressed seating issues - Ship and trip was good and value for money. However limited seating spaces as people were taking up seats with backpacks or lying down. Outside seating uncomfortable at best and we ended up at back of boat with toxic exhaust fumes. Crew should have informed passengers who were occupying more seating space than necessary.

Good - Took the morning ferry from Rhodes take heed and arrive an hour before departure as advised you will need to pick up your ticket then go through customs. When you get to the harbour look for the big cruise liners and head for them to find the gated tourist marina for ferry . Once you get to the marmaris side there’s cabs to take you to town I paid €6 to get to the marina in town the cabbie had me over as I only paid €5 to go from Blue bay platinum the next day .All in all it’s easy as you make it

Come on staff of sea dreams don’t pollute the sea!! - Symi and Panormitis are both beautiful places and I would highly recommend a visit there. The fumes on the boat were really bad. Another big negative for me was witnessing staff on the boat throwing rubbish into the sea at port and also throwing plastic bits in the sea. We are all told at home to protect the sea and recycle and take our rubbish home! I think the governments need to be tackling these people as these are a big contributor to damaging the seas!!!. Also we booked via a stand at Rhodes town and this was advertised to us as a day cruise but it’s a ferry, my advise would be to pay a little bit more and do one of the smaller boats.

Disaster - We’ve booked this trip at our hotel. Originally we booked a “speedboat”, but it was not a speedboat at all, it was a big passengerboat which could fit around 200/300 people. Well, we accepted that and we thought it would be stupid to ruin our day because of this. Unfortunately this was not the only problem. On the voucher they give us times voor arrival/stay/departure. On the voucher the time for stay on Symi Island was 5 hours and the departure time was 15:15. When we came on this time to the boat, the boat was already gone bij 1 hour?!?! We called our hotel and they also say that on our voucher the time was 15:15 for departure. So were standing there and didnt know what to do. The reception of our hotel says to us, that we need to call a taxi and going by ourselfs to the monastery. Well, we’ve got no choise, so we did it. De driver from our taxi said that everyday many people didn’t get well informed of the times, and many people has to take a taxi. So we think thats a disaster. The company informed our hotel that the boat was going on 16;15 from the monastery, so we are in a hurry. The taxi driver did his well best to drive us as fast as he could to the monastery. We went there on 15:55, so what do you think? The boat has left on 16:00 o clock. Again NOT what they say. So Symi was very nice tho, but I don’t recommended this organisation at all!
