A great day of beauty and new friendships! - My husband and I loved our hidden gems tour with Joao! We saw so many unique places that we wouldn't have found on our own, from waterfalls and scenic lookouts to more practical things like levadas and water mills. Lunch was fantastic: lots of delicious options for food and drinks! Joao was a superb guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. He felt like a friend we just hadn't met yet! We highly recommend this tour if you want to experience some off-the-beaten-path aspects of São Miguel.

Truly the most beautiful place and people - Absolutely the most amazing and beautiful place I have ever seen!! The tour guides were some of the most humble, beautiful old souls I have ever met!! I went on the hidden gems tour and the east side of the island tour. I definitely recommend taking the tours instead of driving around yourself per you’ll never get to see as much on your own as you do with the tour guides. You also get to learn about the history of the island! You get to eat a roast that is cooked for many hours in the steam from the volcano, which in my opinion tasted absolutely amazing! In my opinion, the island is truly a piece of heaven!! If you have never been, you should go and book as many tours as you can! I promise you will not be disappointed!!

Truly hidden gems. - This was a truly wonderfull tour, its name Hidden Gems, sums it up accuratelly, and Jaoa our guide on the day was excellent, very professional. He brought us to areas of rural Sao Miguel I would never have found myself. I also saw coastal areas with stunning views. I would highly recommend this tour, of the 3 tours I did, this was my favorite on so many fronts.

REAL hidden gems - On this tour I discovered beautiful parts of rural Sao Miguel I would not have found myself. I also saw some great coastal areas, our guide for the day was 𝕁𝕠𝕒𝕠 who was truly professional, he gave us lots of interesting facts about the island. This was my favorite tour of the 3 tours I did while on Sao Miguel.

Great trip and amazing tour guide - We enjoyed this trip a lot. We had wonderful hikes to the waterfalls, woods, ocean sites. Our tour guide 𝕁𝕠𝕒𝕠 was amazing. He was very attentive making sure we were safe during the walks. He gave us valuable information about island, its culture, traditions and nature. He welcomed the questions and provided answers with deep knowledge. Also the lunch was tasty with local flavor. Joao made the trip a success!

Amazing Way to Explore Azores - This experience was so much fun and so worth it. João was an amazingly informative and kind tour guide who took us to amazing spots in the island while sharing history, insights and, personal expertise on Açores. He definitely made this experience worth it! We had so much fun taking in the island’s gorgeous scenery and plants and even eating delicious authentic food — things that we wouldn’t have fully experienced if we tried to do this on our own. We would do this again!

Hidden jems tour raccomended - The tour was really nice, with some walking to do to get to the views, which I really appreciated. The views were amazing and we had a really good guide, Joao. Would recommend!

Great back country experience - The guide was outstanding. He did an exceptional job making sure we all were enjoying our experience, being patient with a very demanding participant, and was knowledgeable so as to be able to answer our questions. I appreciate the extra mile he went to make the tour so great.

A tour that will not disappoint . - "Hiddend Gems of Sao Miguel" was an unforgettable experience. Spectacular views of waterfalls, coastlines and subtropical trails. I could not stop taking pictures. The group was small and all stops were peaceful . Definitely undiscovered by many. The traditional Azores Lunch and local wine at a small town restaurant was delicious and completed with a surprise !! Our tour guide, Joao, was fabulous. His passion, knowledge, and kindness made the tour even more memorable. Another hidden gem in Sao Miguel. Thank you again, Joao
