Fabulous day exploring spots off the beaten path - The full day Hidden Gems Tour was fabulous. Our guide, Catia was knowledgeable and we benefited from her passion for Sao Miguel sharing beautiful island spots that most tours don’t get a chance to visit. From lush interior island stops to stunning coastal vistas to picturesque waterfalls - our day was a perfect mix of drives followed by scenic walks. We learned a lot at had a great day. The buffet lunch stop was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Most enjoyable and informative tour. Joao was knowleable and extremely caring and concerned of our well-being. He is the - Joao is wonderful! We were very lucky to have him as a guide. He shared camera tips and selected amazing locations for photos.

Excellent tour - I had an incredible experience today with João as our tour guide! He made the entire tour unforgettable with his professionalism, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge. João ensured that we fully appreciated the stunning natural beauty of the area while providing exceptional service throughout. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and engaged.

Special Day Exploring Sao Miguel - We had THE BEST day traveling to all of these special places in Sao Miguel with Catia today! We saw many beautiful water falls, fabulous ocean views to the North and lush calderas requiring a bit of hiking. So enjoyable. Catia was very knowledgeable about many things including island history as well as flora and fauna. Her passion for her country really came through. Os Melos for lunch was outstanding. What a purely delightful day! Obrigada!

Tour guide Joao & The Hidden Gems! A must on your adventure!! - The Hidden Gems Tour is an absolute must if you're looking for a more low-key, less busy adventure. The sights are breathtaking and our guide, Joao, was awesome! He was very knowledgeable of the island and shared personal stories, which added to the experience. We loved his love of music and his really great sense of humor! We are very happy that he was a part of our trip!! ~Angie & Brian

Excellent experience! Great guide! - The hidden Gems tour was an amazing experience! The nature was breathtaking. Our guide Joao was very professional and friendly! He made us feel very comfortable to ask questions about the island and to get the best experience. Also, the lunch was very delicious!

Do this! You won't regret it!! - Manuel was the best guide ever! We booked this tour because we had tried a few hikes/sights on our own and they turned out to be washed out or closed. We were so glad we did. I suffered some terrible injuries to my neck and back last year and don't move very quickly and am not super steady on my feet. Manuel answered every question and was patient, funny and kind! He really took his time with us and offered a helping hand when needed. He really loves this island and the places he shared with us. We got to see spots we never would have found on our own and made some new friends along the way! We would highly recommend! Water proof hiking shoes would be a benefit.
