Butchart Gardens! - First time in BC and decided to hop on this Victoria City Tour. Organized, knowledgeable tour guide and just a easy and efficient way to get all the sites in if you are visiting for a short time and want to get some photo ops. Would recommend to other travelers.

Lovely day out! - This was a very nice tour. We saw everything as described. The tour had to be rearranged on the day due to ferry issues but we did not miss anything. Charlie was friendly and informative and handled the changes well. Butchart Gardens were beautiful. So many daffodils and hyacinths, Victoria was nice and even nicer when the sun came out! All in all a lovely day.

Great tour if you don’t mind a long ferry ride. - Butchart Gardens were the highlight of the day, but we also enjoyed exploring Victoria. It was a long day with about half of the time on the ferry. Our guide was very knowledgeable, repeating the information in three languages. One concern we had driving into Vancouver from The USA was parking. The tour company had no information about parking, but a website SpotAngels helped us find free day parking close to the pickup location.

Good experience - Charlie was a good guide. The locations chosen for the tour were good and there was enough time for each stop. Bring cash for the service fee!

Long day of touring - The tour from Vancouver to Victoria began with an early pick up in a deserted parking lot of a Chinese grocery store. Then we boarded a minivan with 12 other people for a commute of 4 hours including a 1 1/2 hour ferry ride. Our first stop was downtown Victoria for shopping and lunch in Chinatown. Then on to Buchart gardens for a 1 1/2 hour tour of the gardens. Back to the minivan for the 4 hour return trip to Vancouver. The driver/guide was very knowledgeable regarding the area and the major points of interest. He was helpful in guiding us to good lunch places in Chinatown. He did a good job in keeping everyone on time, although some of the guests weren’t very well organized to be on time. My only suggestion is to offer a pickup place other than a deserted grocery store especially in an unfamiliar area at 7:30 in the morning.

Inexpensive and affordable. Maybe consider a little more if you can. - I had a mixed experience and I'll try to be impartial with my review. I'll start with the good: Pro's: -Inexpensive (maybe a con, see below) -Charlie Za, the tour guide, was excellent. He kept the tour on time and was very knowledgeable. -I was able to see very remarkable aspects of Victoria. -Access tickets to the gardens, ferry and bus transportation was included. Con's: -This is more a half day than a full day. The reason why is, to make it inexpensive, the costs are cut in the transportation. From the time that I was picked up, to the time you arrive to Victoria, is 4 hours. The tour bus makes multiple stops to pick people up at other locations, finally to make it to the ferry which is 1.5 hrs from Vancouver to Victoria. So a total of 8 hours is going back and forth, leaving only 4 hrs to explore. So, in conclusion. If you are on a budget, this maybe the thing for you. However, if you can afford it, spend a little more and arrive early and leave Victoria later. You will have more time exploring the local scene.

Scam! Tour didn't go to all the stops and it was in Chinese! - I booked through Trip Advisor however they sold it to a tour group called First Express Travel and the tour was in Chinese! The guide, Chris, tried to speak broken English but we couldn't understand him and eventually he would resort back to Chinese. Plus he didn't even stop at half of the stops that were listed nor did he explain anything- he was more like an Uber driver. The night before the tour Chris text stating to meet him earlier because he suddenly had more stops to make to pick up Chinese tourists. We now had to be there before 7am and spent over a hour just picking up others from their hotel even though when I booked there were only 2 stops you could pick from.Chris kept us on the bus most of the day, perhaps he was concerned about getting late if we made all the stops. Chris also told everyone that there was a mandatory cash service fee(tip) of $15 per person that he collected from every person. No where did the tour list an additional mandatory fee. I reported it to TripAdvisor and they forwarded it to Viator and they said they reached out to the tour company however I have not heard anything. I now have to dispute it with my credit card company since the service was not provided and essentially I was scammed. It definitely ruined our trip to Victoria which we were really looking forward towards.
