Hop onto our 14-passenger bus and explore Richmond in the best way possible - though pizza and ice cream! We’ll visit three of our favorite pizza spots AND three incredible ice cream shops for a fun, filling, and (obviously) delicious afternoon.
Highlights include:
- Try pizza made from a naturally-fermented sourdough crust, and taste the difference

- Visit an award-winning ice cream maker’s very first scoop shop
We suggest bringing a bottle of water – we’re visiting places with the best pizza and ice cream, not necessarily the places with the largest dining room. This means that sometimes, we’ll visit take-out only spots that won’t seat guests or serve water.

Delicious and fun - If you have a free Sunday afternoon in Richmond spend it eating pizza and ice cream - it is fabulous and Erin knew her pizza and ice cream! The places we visited were unique and delicious food. Spend the afternoon eating ice cream and pizza and you will not regret it!

Best way to get to know a town - I’ve been on a food tour before in my home state of NC. My daughter and her boyfriend moved to Richmond recently. We came to visit and scheduled the food tour in Cary Town. It did not disappoint. Eclectic, fun, tasty, and interesting. The guides Brian and Sara were very attentive and kind. They ensured we got our money’s worth and left with something else to do afterwards. Our favorite: Can Can a French brassiere that felt like a French experience!

Great afternoon in Church Hill! - This tour was well-organized, super fun, and introduced us to so many delicious foods! Lindsay was an awesome tour guide with knowledge about local history and present happenings. We'll definitely be back to check out another neighborhood!

Richmond Food Tour A+ - Rachel did a great job of introducing our group to the proud owners and representatives of several great Richmond restaurants while eating and drinking our way through town. It was a special experience to hear the stories of each business, how they started and evolved into what they are today. I really enjoyed this experience and would recommend Rachel as your guide.

Booze & Bites - We had so much fun on our booze and bites tour. Our tour guide Rachel was amazing and very knowledgeable about all the restaurants we visited. It ended up just being our group on the tour. We left with full stomachs and had plenty of drinks along the way too. All the food was amazing. Definitely get your moneys worth!

Fun and Delicious Tour - My husband and I decided the night before to travel to Richmond, VA and wanted to do something different. Signed up for the tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. The drinks and the food were delicious. Enough to be satisfied but not stuffed. Brian was very friendly and knowledgable about Richmond and the restaurants. We were a very diverse group age-wise but Brian made everyone feel included and welcomed. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious, fun - The group of ten were all interesting and friendly. Our hostess, whose name I forget, was just terrific--warm, outgoing, knowledgeable, making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The four restaurants were all good and all different, offering a delicious variety of food and drink. Great way to get a feel for the city and to check out dining options.

Downtown Booze and Bites Tour - Erin was a great guide! We’ve lived in Richmond for 10 years and learned new things about the city. The food was delicious and the other folks on the tour were very friendly. I would highly recommend this tour and River City Food Tours!

Fun way to explore the city and sample the great restaurant scene! - Lots of fun and a great way to explore Richmond! I live in the Richmond, VA, suburbs so I'm familiar with the city but I got tickets for the Sip & Savor tour as a gift for my parents when they were visiting. This tour was a home run! They had a great time getting to explore the city and experience the great restaurant & beer scene that RVA has to offer. To make it even better the tour guide was really fun and helped the whole group interact with each other. In fact, we enjoyed the group so much that after the tour was over, the guide suggested another place to go and the whole tour group went there too, for another drink! Definitely give this tour a chance!
