Excellent - Excellent start to the day. The host was brilliant and very informative. Sorry, can't remember her name but I think it began with G. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend if, like me, it's your first time in Riga.

Great tour to get your bearings and understand the history - We really enjoyed the walking tour around Riga. Our tour guide was excellent. She was clear and told delightful stories which enhanced our experience. She was passionate about her home town and told its history well. Definatelt a must to hear all this wonderful town has to offer. On her recommendation we have visited restaurants, bars, museums and markets. Thank you Una (we think that was your name 😊)

Wonderful walking tour to learn about Riga Yesterday and Today - This walking tour is a great day 1 opportunity to learn about Riga. Karlis was our guide and he spent time providing interesting historical information about the old town and country and tied that into the current culture. The Old Town in Riga is beautiful and each building full of history and it was perfect to learn so much about the city.

Excellent free waking tour. - Kristine lead the free waking tour. She was very good. Informative and likeable. We went at a good pace and learned a lot about Riga and Latvia.

Meh.... - Pretty bland tour, nothing special. we had wandered around and seen most of the stops already. Tour guide was too soft spoken and she did not seem well informed.

Could have been better.. - The start of the tour was really good and you can see the passion of the guide in her work. We really enjoyed how the guide presented the history of the place but probably half of the tour she left very upset and not ending the tour. Her reason was the group was very rude to her which I was confused. I think her reason was the group was walking behind her or something in that context. It was probably a misunderstanding as a whole. We have been to more than 35 countries and joined different walking tours with a wide age range, different nationalities and group size (5-50). It was our first time experiencing the guide walking out from the group. She probably found it rude if people are walking behind her, standing behind her back and taking pictures but some people are their just for day trips and they want to get a full experience with the limited time. Some experienced travellers can multi-task, they can take pictures while actively listening to the guide because they probably can't go back to that place the guide pointed out. Also, with other group tours taking place, people will try to position themselves where they are comfortable. There is one stop that she explained but finished abruptly and was upset and I assumed it was because of the people in the van near us talking loudly. She walks very fast as well, and it was only me and the other lady in the group that can keep up with her (this can be a problem with people with mobility issues). Overall, it was a shock probably to the group that she suddenly got angry. I have seen very rude people in some of the guided tours we have been to but I did not notice it in our group. It is such a shame because she was very good. We were a bit dissapointed since we were just staying in Riga for 4 hours and was looking forward to the tour. I think moving forward the company can improve by doing these: 1. The guide can set the rules in the tour prior to commencing the tour (during the introductions) e.g. not taking taking pictures while she is discussing, how the group should be positioned etc.. 2. Calling out rude behavior timely so it can be corrected and the person concerned is aware rather than bottling it up and walking out. Walking out can be seen as very unprofessional to other people and these greatly affects the image of your company. 3. Pace the walking well because some people might have mobility issues-if already time pressured the guide can shorten the tour. Lastly, I sincerely hope she is okay and not going through anything.

Unprofessional - Guna was our tour guide. There were nine adults. All professions/retirees. As you can see in other reviews, she is knowledgeable but her social skills are drastically lacking. I have used Viator in the past, multiple foreign countries and multiple walking tours. Half way through the walking tour, she started to become unhinged and began chastising the group for talking, going too slow, and disrespecting her. None of this is true as we were all polite and engaged. We were all in shock when she started berating us and then Guna stormed off and left us all in the middle of the tour in a random place in the city. Going through the reviews in the past, you can see she has done this a few times. Why Viator continues to use this tour company that hires employees that have no business interacting with adults, I have no clue. We paid $50 for this tour for two people. We contacted Viator to have this issue resolved. No refunds. No apologies. Viator claimed we were disrespectful to her? At 10:30 in the morning, a group of adults who were kind, polite, and quiet, do not need to be left in the middle of a city as a tour guide storms off. And to think some of the people that paid for this walking tour were from Australia, the U.S., U.K. and all over the world. What a sour impression of Riga this left on us.
