Highlights
  • Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro Religious Arts Museum - A museum in Rio de Janeiro dedicated to contemporary art. The museum is located in the northeastern part of Flamengo Park, in the city’s Centro district, on the shores of Guanabara Bay. Flamengo Park was a project of an urban development plan created by the architect Afonso Reidy and the landscape designer Robert Marx in the 1950s and 1960s

  • Christ the Redeemer - Incredible view! Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ located on top of Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro. It is a symbol of the city and Brazil as a whole. In 2007, it was unofficially elected one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The statue is located in the Tijuca National Park, at an altitude of 709 meters above sea level.

  • Copacabana Beach - We will have time to swim and take beautiful photos! Beach and urban area of the same name in Rio de Janeiro. Located at the entrance to Guanabara Bay, south of the city center. Length - 4 km. Embankment - Avenida Atlantica

  • Ilha Fiscal - The tiny island of Fiscal is famous for its extraordinary castle. If you believe numerous reviews, many who see this palace for the first time associate it with fairy tales about princesses and valiant knights. No one would have thought that the Brazilian customs service was located within the walls of this beautiful castle. More than half a million travelers make the trip to Fiscal every year just to admire the castle’s mesmerizing architecture. In addition to the customs office itself, within the castle walls there is a museum dedicated to the history of the navy. The main tower of the castle is decorated with an illuminated clock, which has become the main landmark for sailors arriving in Guanabara Bay.

  • Church of Our Lady of the Candelaria - During the colonial period, this landmark of Brazil was the largest Catholic church in the country. The beautiful architecture of the church still surprises with its beauty today. In fact, several styles were involved in the design of the facade - from baroque to neoclassical. The very history of the emergence of the temple is connected with the legend of the ship Candelaria, which in 1609 was caught in a severe storm. During the disaster, the sailors of the ship vowed to build a chapel if the Almighty spared their lives. The storm soon subsided, and the rescued sailors fulfilled their promise and erected a wooden chapel. Later in the 18th century, the beautiful stone church of Candelaria was erected on the site of the dilapidated chapel.

  • The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian - One striking example is the Church of St. Sebastian, located in the heart of the city. Seeing this building for the first time, perhaps not a single tourist will recognize it as a cathedral - its architecture is so uncharacteristic. The cathedral was built in a modernist style in honor of the city’s patron saint by an architect inspired by the ancient Mayan pyramids. The structure has a large area - 106 meters in diameter, an impressive height - almost 100 meters, and can accommodate up to 2 thousand worshipers at a time. The interior decoration is also impressive: high mosaic windows let in sunlight, magically colored in different colors of the mosaic itself.
