Lovely! - The most complete tour you can do on a short notice! Lots of little experiences that will lead to a lifetime memories! [At the tribe zone you are gonna get bombarded by kids with different animals, they expect payment so pick carefully who and what you are taking your picture with!]

Absolutely Amazing - Great experience, friendly guide and good food served! Going up and down the river was extremely relaxing, the feeling of being able to see the pink dolphins in their natural habitat and having them all around you can’t really be described, it was a dream come true!

Once in a Lifetime Experience - Our experience was well organised from start to finish. I booked through Viator and the transport was GreyLine but Amazon Explorers actually provided the experience on the day with their own boat and an ‘English speaking guide’ Mr Alves. I arranged by email to be collected from our hotel and they duly obliged, sending a reminder and contacting our hotel the night before to confirm pick up time 07:45. No issues with any of the things we did, they were experiences that we will never probably do again. Our son who lives in Brazil and speaks Portuguese accompanied us. There were two issues which were very disappointing. 1/ The commentary was given in a few different languages by Mr Elves but he focused much of the commentary in Portuguese and only contributed small parts in English. There were at least 9 people who spoke English, so we were annoyed at missing out on learning about the historical facts and more. 2/ There was a problem with a faulty microphone which could not be fixed, so when our guide provided any commentary it was against the background of the boats engine. The visits to the Porpoises (we swam with them), Meeting of the Waters, The Indigenous People and lunch were most enjoyable. We had a short 20 minute walk along a wooden bridge to see Giant Lilli Pads. Most people wore shorts, long trousers are not needed, as it was so hot. This was a once in a lifetime trip to Brazil and highly recommended, but I was disappointed with the lack of English commentary. We did complain at the time, but there was not much improvement.

Wish our guide spoke English more than 2% of the time! - The highlight was swimming with the dolphins! Fabulous! However, we were the only 2 English speakers out of 16 people. Francisco spoke Portuguese 98% of the time. We felt left behind. Tour promised English speaking guide, perhaps a mechanical translator.
