Awesome Experience - This is the perfect way to see Cotopaxi if you want a personalized, local experience. Jorge was an excellent host and took us in a small group to areas larger tours would never be able to get to. The horseback riding was a magical experience and even though the hike was tough, it was a once in a lifetime moment!

Amazing Experience! - Had a great time on this experience. Was picked up at airbnb, great conversation on the ride to Cotapaxi. The horseback riding was amazing. Beautiful scenery, good horse. As we were all riders in my group, we got to trot and canter some portions. Due to an injury, I opted to sit out the hike up to basecamp, but I was comfortable and rested while the other two made quick work of it.

Cotopaxi hike to refugio - Loved this adventure! The hike is a bit challenging but well worth the effort for the dramatic views and cloud formations. Jorge is an excellent guide: informative, professional and entertaining.

Cotopaxi hike to refugio - We drove through Cotopaxi national park and hiked up to the refugio. It is a short but challenging hike with unbelievable views. If you are acclimatized to altitude it is very manageable. Our guide was great — knew the pace that worked for us and shared a lot of information about high altitude plant and animal life. Highlight of our visit to Ecuador.

Chagra to Cotopaxi - Jorge provided a well-organized and thorough itinerary from Quito to Cotopaxi which allowed us to see the Latacunga area and the volcano route. It was a fantastic experience. Unique and memorable in every way. If you can, make this one of the top 10 things you do in Ecuador. Jorge and his companion Dario were both downright amazing. Punctual, professional, courteous, knowledgable and accommodating. And funny. Comfortable transportation with Dario navigating traffic, roads and weather beat having to rent a car and doing the work ourselves. Our companions, the other guests, during the tour were lovely and accomplished people so we were really fortunate. My wife and I loved horseback riding in Cotopaxi National Park. Beautiful horses and very well trained. The trek to basecamp is challenging so come prepared with warm clothes and pace yourself by listening to your body as it adapts to less oxygen and the exertion. The journey is worth it and views from the top are breathtaking. Overall, this was a delightful experience delivered by professionals. Highly recommended.

Fantastic trip - Fantastic trip, Jorge and Daniel look after you really well, lots of interesting information. The horse riding uses traditional tack and clothes and the horses are well cared for. Brace yourself for the short hike up Cotopaxi, it is STEEP.

Fantastic tour - A guided trip to Cotopaxi volcano 🌋. Jorge's trip drives in via the north entrance which has fantastic views of local habitation and farming. It's a bumpy road but well worth it. Then we saddled up ponies in local tack and chaps for us and had a ride with breathtaking views around the volcanic scenery. Last but not least is a short hike to Cotopaxi base camp at 4684 metres. Prepare for the altitude !Jorge and Dario are really kind hosts and the horses are well cared for. Thanks very much!

Please don't exaggerate the horse-riding duration. - Please do not exagerrate the amount of time we actually get to do the horse-riding. Perhaps it is common practice in Ecuador to not provide accurate information, but when you're dealing with foreign tourists who have placed their faith and trust in what you say you will provide, & who was so excited & looking forward to the trip, it is extremely disappointing when what you claim turn out to be empty promises. Could have gotten a full 5 stars from me if not for this disappointing incident. Perhaps pachamama knew I was let down & feeling saddened, because she suddenly sent me a great whether when it was initially cloudy & the skies were threatening to rain, along with some of my beloved condors eventhough I wasn't expecting to see any, as if to wish me a lovely goodbye on my last day in Ecuador. So it is actually pachamama who gets the 5 stars from me & all my love & thanks!!! 🙏💖
