Kunjapuri Sunrise Tour - Such an absolutely wonderful experience! Kaly and everyone at Mapping the Himalayas did a great job from the booking to the completion of this event. Kaly answered all of my questions as a first time visitor to India and even helped me with a matter involving a local cab company. Watching the sunrise and then catching a glimpse of the Himalayas was breathtaking. Ankush was the best possible hiking/trekking guide I could have asked for. His warm and kind manner made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the whole hike. As a solo female traveler I appreciated these guys so much! Ankush even caught my arm as I slipped on the rocks at one point keeping me from sliding further down. I valued how he shared his knowledge about the local plants, people and customs too. So enjoyed taking a break at the waterfall with my feet in the cool water at the end. This is not a beginner or an easy hike but if you love hiking and being in nature you will love it! I highly recommend Mapping the Himalayas and any of the adventures they offer.

Great tour! - Devesh was a brilliant tour guide! I learnt so much during our walk. We had chai at the top for sunrise and then walked down through beautiful scenery, past local villages etc. I learnt about local life, the flora and fauna and about India tradition and culture generally. Would recommend!

Sunrise at Temple and Hike - Incredible sunrise view. Musafir was a great hiking guide. Saw a couple of villages and waterfall on the way down.
This was a great way to spend the morning and a good short excursion.

An excellent sunset tour - A great company. I found Davish and Kalyan really friendly and professional guys. They made the trip really enjoyable. I also found them a great help with information on what to do around the area. They definitely went above and beyond 😁

A must do event - Book the day before and got quick response. Guide was on time. He offer chai and started a fire as we were early. Visited the temple but shoes must be removed so wear socks as ground is cold, this is January. Got to see sunrise and also full moon setting at the same time. Fruit platter was offered with warm chai before the walk. Guide was friendly n helpful, provided walking poles which was very helpful as path can be challenging. He was patient and gave you as much freedom to rest n photos. Wear pants and enclose shoes. Company is professional, friendly n responsive. Will do it again.

Best tour ever - I did the private hike with Rahul and it was one of my favorite experiences in India! The hike is downhill but I still think you need to be in shape for this activity. Rahul made sure I got the best view for sunrise, took tons of pics for me, would stop whenever I needed a break or water, carried half my things for me, and taught me so much about the plans and the villages we walked through. I will never forget this day!!!!!

Literally the best experience with the best people - Thanks to google and Trip Advisor we found this company and within minutes of messaging them had a hike booked in for the next day.
We ended up doing a hike along the Ganges that wasnt advertised but met our request for about good couple of hour walk.
Ankush arrived with a smiling face and off we went for The Best day, out of the way in to nature, away from the crowds we hiked and chatted, swam in a hidden waterfall , slowed down on the edge of the river and had hundreds of butterflies all over us - it was a magical and memorable day.
Ankush our guide looked after us, shared local knowledge and his own philisophies and we had the most wonderful day.
We rebooked them to take us sightseeing and again for the Kunjapuri sunrise experience.
An absolute must do, another incredible experience with Ankush and another young guide ( should have written name down sorry) . The hikes, views and history they shared was just so wonderful, and made so much more by Kali and his team of gorgeous humans - we have been positively impacted by them and highly recommend anyone to use them - we’ll be back for a bigger trek next time.

Beautiful sunrise but challenging hike down - The sunrise was beautiful. The guide was forward thinking and brought rubber mats for us to stand bare footed on the cement floor (we have to take off our shoes at the temple. My friends went hiking whilst the guide took me to Westin hotel to have a nice breakfast as I could not hike due to my fractured elbow. I had a good time at the hotel. However, my friends slipped on the hike as the path mostly gravel. They said the hike definitely not for beginners. The waterfall was OK. The driver and guide were very good
