- Al Masmak Fortress - Al Masmak Fort is a must-visit during your stay in Riyadh. It served as the army’s headquarters and is one of Riyadh’s most important castles. In front of its gate, a pivotal battle occurred in 1902, marking the beginning of a new era for the kingdom. We’ll travel back in time to witness the fort’s recapture by King Abdulaziz. Afterward, you’ll enjoy exploring the old antique auction market.
- Diriyah - This village, Diriyah, is where the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia began. It was here that the nucleus of the Kingdom was established, and Diriyah was besieged for six months and destroyed by cannons. We’ll start the story of the first Saudi state and how the kingdom was built. Diriyah was the original home of the Saudi royal family and served as the capital of the Emirate of Diriyah under the first Saudi dynasty from 1727 to 1818. The Turaif district in Diriyah, the first capital city of the Saudis, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010.
