Start your journey with a visit to the Chichen Itza & Pink Lakes tour, available from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. This adventure takes you to the heart of the Yucatan Peninsula, where you can explore the iconic Chichen Itza, swim in the crystal-clear waters of the cenote Selva Maya, and traverse the mangroves of the Rio Lagartos biosphere reserve. The highlight of the tour is the descent to the pink lakes of Las Coloradas, where the high concentration of salt and minerals gives the water a rich pink hue. As you navigate the waterways, keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife, including crocodiles and flamingos.
“Chichen Itza, Las Coloradas, & Río Lagartos - Alvarado was an amazing tour guide! Alvarado picked us up and dropped us off at the resort! Alvarado gave us refreshments many times during the trip! Alvarado had an amazing knowledge of the places we went and Mayan history! Alvarado was able to answer all of our questions and showed us pictures of what Chichen Itza looked like during the period of the Mayans as well as pictures of when he went inside of Chichen Itza years ago before it was closed to the public! Alvarado took us to a cenote that was less crowded, which my partner and I enjoyed! He took amazing pictures and videos of us at the cenote! The restaurant he took us to was an amazing buffet with authentic Mexican food and all we had to pay for was our drinks, which was not bad! He explained about the salt in Las Coloradas! The boat ride in Rio Lagartos was amazing! We saw an alligator, which the boat driver fed a couple fish, and we saw flamingos! Alvarado took amazing photos everywhere we went! I would definitely recommend this tour!” - Reviewed on 2022-08-15

The tour also includes a therapeutic ‘Mayan Bath’ experience, where you can indulge in a natural, full-body mud mask that leaves your skin feeling exceptionally smooth. The day concludes with some serene time spent on a secluded beach, providing the perfect finish to a day of adventure.
“Must see!! - This excursion is a must if you are staying anywhere in the area. I booked the tour with hotel pickup in Playa Del Carmen. The drive was approximately 3 to 3-1/2 hours, but the commute was well worth it. The bus was very comfortable and roomy. Plenty of space to relax, take a nap, watch tv….. the bus included WiFi service which was great! The pink lakes (pink salt flats) need to be seen in person to really enjoy. The whole itinerary from the pink lakes to the speed boat to the Mayan mud bath was so much fun. Lunch was excellent and the last stop at the crocodile farm was awesome.” - Reviewed on 2022-08-17
