Must see and do adventure! - We had such a great time with this company! Every day was a new adventure and we loved not having to navigate or drive. We had my husband and I and our 24 year old daughter and 2 teens with us. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to see a lot of Costa Rica in a short week!

Hotel is nice and is a... - Hotel is nice and is a short walk to central area of San Jose with a lot of shops and restaurants. Tour guides are nice and professional. This is a package for people who wants a worry free experience. The only problem is that all tours are 2-4 hours of bus rides from San Jose and we had to get up around 5am everyday.

The best experience to know Costa Rica 🤙🏻 - This tour is the one to know the BEST places in Costa Rica. We loved all the nature you visit, it is a perfect combination between national parks, volcanoes and adrenaline activities like rafting and canopy. Besides, the guides are friendly and know what they talk about. The hotel was perfect, comfortable and well located. 100% recommended, it is an excellent service this tour.

Wonderful experiences with excellent guides - What a full week of adventures we had on the 8 day package. We had three guides, Martin, Hayro and Lenny. Their English is impeccable and they all gave us lots of information in an easily understandable way. Hayro dealt very patiently with some (to us) horrendous driving conditions- cloud, rain and traffic jams - and his enthusiasm for spotting wildlife in the National Parks was infectious. He certainly is The Frog Whisperer. Lenny was amazing. She picked us up at the airport when our plane was very late arriving and was cheerful and kind despite it being after midnight. Her way of imparting information on the tours is very natural and we loved learning about life in Costa Rica. She also went above and beyond to help us with a phone issue which we very much appreciated. All the trips were worth the drives to get there and the minibuses were comfortable and air conditioned. Traffic and weather are outside everyone’s control - the day we went to the catamaran trip and Manuel Antonio park, for example, there were various road works and breakdowns that delayed us considerably, and the day of the hanging bridges involved a difficult journey across a high mountain pass with cloud, rain and heavy traffic but Hayro dealt with it all very calmly. It’s all part of seeing life in Costa Rica. The Radisson is a competent hotel made of concrete and steel girders so not particularly beautiful but the room we had was spacious and the aircon effective. The bed was really comfortable which was much appreciated after a long day out. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city which is good for pick ups and drop offs - we had a tour planned for every day so being outside the city was not a problem. It’s not a long walk into the central square if you wanted to add a day or two in the capital to explore the museums independently which we heard were interesting. The breakfasts at the hotel were excellent- a huge choice of cooked and cold items and lots of fruit and coffee available. You will not be underfed on this package- lunch was included in every tour and breakfast on some early starts. Most nights we did not require anything else to eat but we had one meal in the hotel restaurant which was really good and one night we had a meal in the bar, which was also good. After a week on this package we’d had so much fun (including zip lining and white water rafting) and experienced a lot about this small variable country.

Fabulous trip to the Pacific area of Costa Rica - Wonderful trip! Loved the variety of experiences, something different every day! Our guide, Lenny, was great, very informative and fun! Some of the experiences, white water rafting, zip lining, snorkeling, visited 3 very different volcanoes to name a few. It is a very active trip!

Not a Typical Review - This review will be a little bit different, as I had a fall on our very first day and ended up with a broken shoulder. The response from Summer Travel was spectacular- they sent someone out to help, made arrangements for the ER visit and stayed with me throughout the whole process. We were debating whether to stay or go home, and they fully supported us either way. We will definitely use Summer Travel when we come back to this beautiful country.

wonderful country - We traveled with my brother without any great expectations, but this tour plus the services of the Summer Travel Costa Rica company exceeded them. Special thanks to Leny (our guide) who made our trip a great adventure and to Donald for his kindness. I recommend this tour, as it includes several of the must-see attractions of this beautiful country.

Great time - Really enjoyed my time on this trip. Weather was the only hindrance with many of the activities, some of which could have been improved by preparation. Plan for a cold and wet time

Nice trip, well worth it! - Well organized with good hotels. Food was plentiful, mostly buffet style but slightly bland.. Our guide was AARÓN SALAZAR GUIDO . He really made the trip with a great personality and VERY knowledgeable about his country and its history. Our driver was Giovanni and he did a great job. One day we had very long bus ride but was broken up with a few stops. West coast, Tambor was HOT and HUMID. Spent time in ocean and pool, also macaw sanctuary was great. Butterfly garden was a bust. NO butterflies in one and the other stop had 2!!! We traveled with a nice group of people.

In order to sell they will tell you what you want to hear!!!! - Before booking this reservation and paying $3,000.00 dollars I asked the representative if I was able to travel from Mexico to Costa ("I had another question regarding the passport information, we are flying from Cancun to Costa Rica are we able to present other forms of identification? Example USA drivers license and a Mexican ID (INE)?") Here is what they replied: "Everything is in order and the reservation is still working well, don't worry, everything is practically ready. Can you give us the numbers of old passports or can you give us some identification number, it is only to be able to buy the tickets to the national parks, it is only a formality of the Park that is requested" To this I responded: "Per your request see a copy of our identifications needed. The ID numbers are listed on there. Please let me know if you need anything else. Have a nice day!" It is frustrating that the travel agencies will lie in order to sell. I was at the airport trying to board my flight and wasnt able to. I lost the $3,000.00 and my flight expenses. After calling the agency they refused to post pone my reservation for a further date or compensate me in any way.
