So awesome you absolutely need to go!! - So amazing and totally worth it!! There’s a couple tarzan ropes on the path and we stopped there and had a great time for a few hours. We ended up getting stuck in a storm it was pouring and the wind created rapids in the water which made it even more fun. It was gorgeous with the rain pouring in the fog. We were gone much longer than most groups so the guy in charge of the tubing event searched for us thinking we were in danger in the storm. Very caring guy he had multiple people searching for us but the screams were from excitement lol. So amazing and would definitely come again.

Nice relaxing river-float - At a normal water level, it's a nice relaxing tube float down about two miles of the Roanoke River. I took a DSLR keeping it in my lap mostly, but held it overhead for the manageable "rapids". I'll have to post some photos at a later time as I forgot to bring a card-reader with me for the camera.

Tubing on the Roanoke - The water was low and my tube kept getting hung up on rocks. Even so, it was a pleasant time and I actually had the most fun falling out of my tube and into the river.

Beautiful day with my family - Tubing a river is a must. When it’s silly hot outside. And everything is annoying, tempers flare. Heat has a way of leeching life from you. That’s when you gather your loved ones and float the river named after our town. We were followed down the river by a crane doin the most(as cranes do). And saw ducks aplenty. Excitement heightens as you near a swift little area. It’s quiet, and satisfying. The guy that shuttled us was knowledgeable and so helpful. Everything has been thought through by the company. Would highly recommend

Couples experience - This was a really fun experience overall! We had fun and it was safe and relaxing! Beautiful views. It took about 2 hours to float. Good for couples, families, and young children. The only thing is we were not told to bring water shoes (the ones that stay on your feet..not sandles). And when we got there we were told to go to their shop and purchase them. It ended up costing us $35 more for the shoes and the one pair was broken. And in the end, we could’ve used the ones we had brought originally. I just suggest more communication about footwear when booking. And bring your own water shoes!

Family adventure (ages 17-75) - Fun adventure for the family while visiting the Roanoke area on vacation. Friendly staff. Float lasted about 2 hours. Don’t bring elderly people or people with mobility issues. Important to know: -No large or modified rafts/tubes if anyone in your party needs extra stability (my 75 yo dad is 5’ 11”, 240 lbs and we couldn’t keep his tube from flipping backwards… which was scary given the shallow water, rocky river bed, and his lack of mobility. He got busted up a little [bleeding in three places] but was fine.) -It’s not all lazy river-type currents. Varying depths and widths of the river lead to rapids in some places. Nothing too extreme but worth knowing as you plan your trip. To me, the rapids were a fun highlight. -While there is a lot of nature around (we saw turtles, an otter, a fox, cranes, ducks, etc), keep in mind this river runs through highly populated areas too so you can expect copious amounts of human trash in the water with you and accumulating around the banks.
