Highlights

West End (Route)

Operating Schedule: Instruction meeting point after disembarking your ship: Roatan has two ship docks. Mahogany Bay cruise port accommodates Carnival Cruises, Princess Cruises, Holland America Cruises, Costa Cruises, and others. The Town Center Port of Roatan serves Royal Caribbean Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruises, TUI Cruises, and more.

If your ship docks at Mahogany Bay Cruise port, walk off your ship, pass through the shopping area, and continue past the water fountains to the red-roofed building on the right. This is the white taxi terminal. Walk through the corridor, turn left at the end, and proceed up and over the hill through the large green gate. A representative will be waiting on the other side, 1 to 2 hours after your ship’s arrival, ready to greet you with a warm welcome and a smile. Look for the Roatan Anderson Tours sign. If you are in a wheelchair or scooter, you can take a taxi over the hill for an additional $2. NOTE: Local independent drivers and guides may approach you to sell tours; simply inform them that you have booked with us, and they will leave you alone. After your excursion, we will personally drive you back over the hill inside the gate.

If your ship docks at the Town Center Port of Roatan in Coxen Hole, it is easier to find us. Walk straight out past all the shops, then turn right. You will see many tour kiosks; continue through the terminal, make a slight left, and head straight out to the main street. Once you exit gate #1, look across the street for the Roatan Anderson Tours sign. A representative will be waiting for you 1 to 2 hours after your ship’s arrival. If you have friends or family who are not booked with us but want to join, we will accommodate them.

If you have trouble locating us, feel free to ask any security guard or local tour associate for Shervin Hamilton or the Roatan Anderson Tours sign. If you need to cancel your tour and couldn’t contact us beforehand, please call us or have someone from your party inform us of the cancellation.

Please print out your confirmation form and bring it with you.

Nice to get away from the crowds - When your cruise ship docks it’s a crazy & loud & confusing situation. How nice it was to find our driver & get away from all the chaos. Was nice not to be loaded into a bus or van with bunches of other travelers. Just the 2 of us in a air conditioned comfortable van & leave the pandaemonium behind. Our driver was very personable but we didn’t remember his name.

Roatan Experience - Our tour guide, Murphy, was very nice and informative of Roatan. He brought us to places which he thought we would like such as the chocolate factory and Rum store. Also, we asked him to bring us to a local place for lunch and he suggested and brought us to The Paradise.

Awesome experience ! - Steven was awesome! We visited the the chocolate factory, saw monkeys/sloths, and went to the iguana sanctuary. To top it all off we visited West Bay and it was beautiful. Not to mention the few secrets stops Steven showed us. It was a great experience and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Roatan

Be aware they call it hop... - Be aware they call it hop on hop off bus, but it's not, it's a driver with a personal car taking you places. Sometimes tiny car with no seat belts. Also they ask you to pay $20 per person just to get to free beach. Only chair is included in $20 fee. You can't get in without paying. Rum factory is just a store that sells rum. Chocolate factory is also a store, but at least they make chocolate there. Beach is overcrowded with people, boats and jet skis spilling oil over water where you swim . To be fair a driver was a nice guy. You still can have fun, island is beautiful, but adjust your expectations.

A Rotten Roatan Experience - Beware of this "tour". You don't get to hop on and hop off. You are taken to a "chocolate factory" which is nothing more than a gimmick. This isn't a factory and we weren't impressed with the chocolate. I had no idea this was part of the "tour". Then we were taken to a restaurant. The problem was, we didn't want to have lunch. We didn't want to stop here, but here we were, nonetheless. We invited the bus driver to sit with us at our table. There were no other vacant seats. The driver orders food and then without asking, has the audacity to have his meal put on our bill. We were coerced to pay for his $25 lunch. This tour is a rip off. BEWARE!!!

Don’t book on Tripadvisor - Our issue was with the booking. Said you could cancel with 24 hours notice. We were to arrive by cruise ship on Feb 14th, however, our itinerary was changed 9 days prior to booking to Feb 15th. I emailed several times, tried to change or cancel daily, however, the bookings site to manage or cancel your booking is non-existent. Continuously said n/a check back later. I even had my daughter back home trying. They didn’t have a problem letting me know several times that my excursion was coming up and that the cost was Going to be charged to my card. Very disappointing and I’m just out the money

We missed out... - For some reason the credit card was charged at 3 am in the morning, a month before our trip, which was denied. It was denied because it was charged at 3 in the morning to a foreign country that we hadn't been to yet. It was my friends card and we didn't realize we didn't have an excursion booked until we were ready to leave the ship and started looking up details. Why would a company charge you for the entire cost of a service before it is completed? I would understand a deposit that is non-refundable, but not the entire excursion.
