- Altun Ha - Once our guests are pick up by our driver/guide they will then be driven through Belize City as they make there way to the Altun Ha for there tour. Guest will be able to see some land marks of City such as the Baron Bliss Light house as well as the Museum of Belize a brick building that was use in the past as a prison. The drive is approximately an hour to the site. going north from Belize City. Along the way you will also get to see portion of the historic Old Belize River use as the first mode of transportation before there were any road net work in the country. You also get to see a few rural communities in the Belize District along the route. Once at the site you will be able to access and use the well sanitize rest rooms from there your tours begins with first with a walk through the museum on the site. Your guide will then accompanied you to the Mayan site of Altun Ha were you will be provided a guided tour with detail information of this ancient but important Mayan City

A + Altun Ha tour - Last minute, four of us booked the visit that could fit within our tight schedule. We thought we’d visit some cool ruins, but we got SO much more out of our visit! Albert picked us up at our hotel and gave us a great variety of Belizean history en route to Altun Ha. Once there, he provided us an excellent tour. We did some shopping after our quick museum visit. The site is incredible. It’s rather small which is also why we enjoyed ourselves. Crowds were minimal. We really felt like we stepped back in time.

Albert is the GOAT - We had a great time, also shout out to our boy Albert. He shared so much info about the history of Belize with us and super fun to talk to. We definitely recommend booking !!

Awesome tour - Was very interesting tour, our guide, Mark had great information and was very knowledgeable. It is a smaller site, which was fine for us, and it was not crowded at all when we went so that was a plus.

Amazing tour guide, amazing tour - Albert was amazing, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the culture and history of both Belize and the Mayans. He was very attentive in making sure everyone got on the bus and he went out of his way to make the tour both fun and memorable.

Neat monuments/ late pickup/ No H2O - The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly- disappointed that it shows we were to receive water and my group of 6 did not- long drive there and back and with the hike up and down the monuments made us a little thirsty- also the tour guide was late by 30 minutes to pick us up at the Best Western hotel-

The tour specifically... - The tour specifically said this was a private tour but there were 2 other parties with us. It's not a big deal but there are cheaper price for group tour.

Decent Trip from Belize City, but $85USD/pp is a bit too much! - The set up in Viator was not easy to book a pick up location if you are not familiar with Belize City. We arrived a day ahead of time and still could not choose one of the 13 pickup locations. I sent several messages to the tour operator. They were extremely slow to respond. We ended up choosing the Best Western since we saw it on the way from the airport. You can’t go wrong with catching the bus at the Belize Water Taxi near downtown. Once the trip started, our tour guide was nice and very knowledgeable (a bit talkative at times). The ride from Belize City to Altun Ha is a bit less than an hour. The 8:30am trip was ideal because it wasn’t warm yet. The weather was a bit drizzly at times, but not bad. Unlike some of the ruins in Mexico, we did actually get to climb the ruins to see great views of the entire site. This is a great introductory activity if you’re in Belize City for more than a day. At the end, we went to the tourist souvenir area where we could grab shirts, artifacts, coconut water, magnets and other items. The items were a bit on the pricey side compared to other souvenir shop areas we’ve been to. Chichen Itza, Teotihuacan and others that offered great souvenirs below $10USD… didn’t find that at Altun Ha. Overall, the trip is okay, but $85 USD/pp is expensive for this particular excursion.
