The tour begins at the Nohoch Che’en Reserve. Start by wading across the river, which is about knee-deep. Once across, enjoy a guided nature walk through the jungle and a dry cave as you proceed to the starting point. Double hard shell sit-on-top kayaks are ready for you at the riverside. Familiarize yourself with your kayak while listening to the safety briefing. Begin with a short paddle upstream to the first cave, where the river emerges from underground. Then, head downstream, navigating your kayak through the cave systems with only your headlamp to guide you! The river meanders in and out of several cave systems and concludes with an open stretch along the jungle-lined river, ending where you initially waded across the river.
