Please be aware that a weight restriction of 220lbs/99kgs/15st is in effect. Enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the Atlantic seashore during a 2 hour picturesque horseback tour in St. Lucia. The sight of rural landscapes and contented cows grazing might expose you to a local angler reaping his daily haul. You’ll witness vistas of Epouge Bay and vibrant camping cabins sprinkled across the peninsula before you go horse riding to Anse La Voutte beach. Here, you can bathe with your horse in the revitalising Atlantic tides and seasoned riders can have a thrill galloping along the beach.

- Sometimes seaweed and sea conditions may prevent a swim with the horses.

We are located in Beausejour, Gros Islet, in the North East. The road to our stables is located opposite the East Gate of the Darren Sammy Cricket Stadium. Look out for the sign "Beach Drive" on the corner. Once you are on Beach Drive take the first right and come straight up the short hill.

Sandy Hoofs Rocks! - Our family had the absolute best time riding with Sandy Hoofs. They are friendly, professional, and take excellent care of you.
It shows they take great pride in their horses and their business. We were welcomed and every detail attended to.
Our two guides (Arkim and Tevin) took time to get to know us and our riding level to match us to the best horse. We had wonderful conversation along the trail and they made the entire time on the beach relaxing and enjoyable.

A gentle , enjoyable horse ride to a secluded beach - We enjoyed a gentle horse ride along a quiet track to a secluded beach. I was a complete novice but our guide was great at calming any nerves I had and happily answered any questions we had on the ride; both horses that we rode were quite placid and knew the way so little effort was needed to 'steer' them! We had some time to ourselves at the beach and we were asked if we wanted to ride the horses saddleless in the sea but we declined being a bit wary of trying to ride without a saddle, but our guide said this wasn't a problem. The beach was quite secluded, we were the only ones there and it was nice to have some time away from the busier areas in the north of the island. We booked the horse ride as a wedding anniversary treat for my wife who rode horses in the past and it did not disappoint.

An experience I’ll never forget - Amazing time with the lovely Jordan seeing some beautiful untouched beaches… lovely gallop and swim with the pony… definitely worth every penny. Fantastic way to see St Lucia

Nice - Was a nice excursion. Contacted the host day before arriving on the ship. She arranged a taxi to meet us at the port and take us back. It was a leisurely ride on the horses to two beaches. Got to swim for awhile and get pictures on the horses in the water.

Great Experience - From the friendly staff, to the fantastic guides, the beautiful horses, and the secluded beach. This tour was amazing. Our kids absolutely loved it and my wife said it was a bucket list experience riding in the ocean on the horses. Would highly recommend Sandy Hoofs.

A highlight of our trip! - A little difficult to find at first (follow the signs and you'll be fine!), but once we got there, we had an incredible time. SO much fun riding over the beautiful St Lucian hills and down to the sea, getting to speed down the beach, and even taking our horses for a dip -- what a day! Would 100% recommend.

Can only recommend!!! - We were absolutely impressed with this tour. Akim our guide did a Great Job in Leading us threw the path. After it we enjoyed a incredible view of the sea. We only can recommend this tour!

Amazing time! - Such an amazing experience! I went with my husband and we don't have much riding experience but we felt safe and confident throughout the whole ride. The ride takes you 1 hour to get to the beach and then you turn around and go back the way you came. At the beach you make a little stop for water, and coconuts if you're lucky. We didn't get to swim with the horses because the water was rough but we didn't mind. It was nice to have a break for a few minutes, as the riding can be physically demanding at times and the trail is mostly sun so it is very hot. Overall it was an unforgettable experience with great trail leaders and I felt very safe. Our guide helped us when we had a close call with a car heading towards us on the narrow path. He also made sure to hold my horse for me when my husband wanted to go fast but I wanted to stay back, which I really appreciated!

Just book a ride👌 - These people are real horse lovers. And their horses love what the do. Important things like our weights & experience were requested so as to match us with the right horses. Fabulous horses, a friendly welcome and a beautiful ride.
