The Roman catacombs and Appia Antica park are magnificent locations one mustn’t miss out on when visiting Rome. They might be a bit challenging to reach, being a considerable distance from the city center, but our tour simplifies this and makes the journey enjoyable for everyone. On this trip, we arrange for a pick-up from your hotel, transporting you straight to the catacombs. On the drive to the catacombs, the driver will share all the interesting information about the sites we are set to visit.
Once we arrive at the catacombs, a second guide who specializes in the site will lead a 45-minute exploration of the subterranean area. Further, we will move to explore the best-preserved mausoleum on the Appian Way, ‘the Cecilia Metella’s tomb’, famous for its marbles that were used to construct the Trevi fountain. We also plan to visit the suburban villa of Emperor Massenzio, the last Roman emperor to reside in the city of Rome, where we display the second-largest chariot racing stadium in Rome. To conclude the tour, we arrange a drop-off either at your hotel or at a preferred location.
