- The tour involves a lot of walking and climbing stairs, especially in the Roman Forum - please take this into consideration
- Wear comfortable footwear and clothing – the tour will proceed regardless of the weather
- Due to Colosseum security checks, bulky bags, trolleys or backpacks are not allowed
- Due to heightened security measures, you may experience delays in clearing security checks when entering the Colosseum. Guests with a pacemaker will need to show a certificate to bypass security screening
- It is mandatory to bring your passport or ID card on the day of the tour
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking
- Daily at 2:30 pm (High Season: from April 1st to October 26th 2025)
- Daily at 1:30 pm (Low Season: from October 27th to March 31st 2026)
- If you have a pacemaker you will need to show a certificate, otherwise you will not be admitted without being screened
- This tour is not suitable for individuals who use a wheelchair or who have difficulty walking

Excellent unhurried guided walk - This 3 hour tour was awesome. The guide, Maria, was exceptionally knowledgeable, patient and engaging. The tour was conducted in a relaxed manner and took in some of the most iconic sights of Ancient Rome with fascinating insights as to how Ancient Rome operated (brutally at times) and how the people lived.
I would fully recommend this tour to anyone. Be advised that some of the walking surfaces are uneven. However Maria ensured that we were aware of this and ensured everyone was able to manage.

Wonderful guide - We went with Emmanuelle who was an absolute font of information. He was easy to understand and was very clear at explaining things and we saw all sorts of things that I would have missed, like the trapdoors to bring animals up into the colosseum from below. He was also great on the palatine hill and the forum. We were delighted with this tour

The very best of the colosseum and Roman history guided tour - Luca is an AMAZING and Interesting guide. He knew so much and was so interesting to learn from. Very kind and informative. The tour flew by and we all had a wonderful experience. Very organized professional and we very much felt taken care of every step of the way. Skip the long lines and see the hidden treasures without any stress at all. Definitely book with Luca if you can.

A must see in Rome. - Tour was well organised, guide was excellent very knowledgeable and friendly well worth the time and effort guides name I think was Tanuli what a lovely man. Thanks to all involved for making it a magical experience.

Pictures galore of ancient Rome to enjoy and share. - Andre was extremely knowledgeable. His English was perfect. The tour was both educational and visually amazing. His stops were at great picture taking locations. The stops also gave those of us who struggled with a long walk, time to sit. The venue is challenging. Lots of up and down walking on cobblestones that required care. At 75-years-old, I had a small portable stool that I used periodically. The October weather was perfect! Kudos to Gray Line.

Informative, Entertaining and Well Organized Half Day Tour of the Coliseum, Forum and Palatine Hill - The group tour of the Coliseum, Forum and Palatine Hill was very well organized and efficient, meeting on time, making it easy to check in and find the correct group, providing an easy-to-operate audio device which helped us to never miss a word of the narration along the way. Our guide, Luca, was incredibly knowledgeable about all the relevant history, eloquently sharing the facts and his own enthusiasm throughout the half day excursion. Luca brought perspective and lightheartedness to the tour in a way that left us entertained but also much better informed. Well done!

Group tour of a lifetime - I would highly recommend this tour company. The three hour tour was beyond what we expected. The only minimal complaint I have is that due to our guides Italian accent I wasn’t able to follow some of the historical facts she was telling us.
The meeting point was very easy to get to and the tour company found us immediately.
Our tour guide Barbie made us feel very secure and safe with all the hordes of people around the Colosseum. She did such a great job with our group tour that it felt at times that we were the only people there on a tour.

Disappointment - Horrible, massant the guide Carol comes out walking in front, does not wait for the elderly, we had to request this to her, does not stop talking for a minute, does not open for questions, does not tell curiosities. It was a pity, after a while we even took the earphone off.
