To do absolutely. - Great, made to 4 friends, Reservation without problems, electric mountain bikes not bad at all, with pneumatic seatpost. Our Guide Alexandra introduced us to this Via Appaia by sharing her knowledge of Roman history, she kept the bikes during our visit to the catacombs of Callisto. A very nice break in our holiday in Rome.

Delightful tour and guide. - We had a gas riding through the streets of Rome and then through the Catacombs and way more. It was quite an adventure. Our guide was quirky, young and passionate about his job and his city. Learned history with a fun time.

Cycling Roman Roads - An amazing day spent cycling through the city and along the Appian way. Alessandra was an awesome guide, and riding felt safe despite the traffic. Wonderful to ride on cobblestones laid 2000 years ago, and learn a little along the way whilst enjoying another side to Rome

Sunshine, exercise, history, and beautiful views - My wife and adult son, and our friends and their adult son, went on this tour together. Our guide Emanuele did a very good job guiding us through Rome's city streets to the Circus Maximus where our tour began in earnest. He was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting tidbits along the ride. As an amateur fan of Roman history, it was an awesome experience to bike along a road that features in so many stories of old. Very highly recommended!

E-Bike Tour of Appian Way and Catacombs - My husband and I travelled from Civitavecchia to Rome on September 12, 2024 for a bike tour of the Appian Way. Unfortunately, we got on the bus going the wrong way and ended up being 45 minutes late and missing our tour group. Martin the mechanic came to our rescue and offered to catch us up to the group. I was initially quite anxious about riding in traffic (only the beginning and ending has you riding through traffic) but Martin's reassuring presence and expert guidance made me feel very safe. Martin’s pace was perfect, we had time to see the incredible sights and take some pictures while he told us all about them. Martin’s knowledge was impressive, especially for someone who has not lived in Italy for very long. At the catacombs we caught up and Martin seamlessly transitioned us to the group. We really enjoyed having Martin as our guide!! I highly recommend him for anyone who is nervous about riding in traffic. Thank you Martin and Bicycle Roma for an unforgettable experience!

Perfect way to see Rome in the morning - We had an amazing time! The best part of our Rome trip. I am from Los Angeles and have been on quite a few excursions and this is one of the best I’ve ever tried in my travels. We were paired with Ricardo and had so much fun. Our group was small with only 3 couples which was nice. Finding the location was very easy and getting our bikes set up was easy too. Our guide had us feel so comfortable on the streets and we felt protected. He stopped at various lookout points and shared history stories. He offered to take photos of us and seemed to genuinely care about how we were feeling on the road. The bikes were powerful and I didn’t feel tired after the ride. He is an amazing guide and I recommend this tour to anyone!

Great Experience - Great tour guides that provided context and historic information. Enthusiastic, professional and continuously safety minded as we biked through chaotic traffic and a tranquil Park. Tour didn't provide an aqueduct experience (as advertised in bold print, but *unadvertised* in small parenthetical type). The experience was fun and one of a kind. The well maintained e-bikes were more than adequate. If you are on the fence, sign up now.
