Great tour! - I did the tour starting at 10.15, was easy to find the meet up point. We were given headphones and a radio so could hear the guide nice and easily. The tour started going round the forum which was far bigger than I expected. We then moved onto the colluseum which was really impressive. Got lots of steps in which is a bonus! Would recommend this tour as its as really interesting.

TEMPLES OF ANCIENT ROME - The Roman Forum is visible from Collesium as they are located on the same archeological site and is connected by the road leading to the Forum Via dei Fori Imperiali. The Roman Forum or  Forum Romanum, is a rectangular plaza surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient buildings at the centre of the city of Rome. Located in the small valley between the Palatine and Capitoline Hills, the Forum today is a sprawling ruin of architectural fragments of Temples attracting 4.5 million or more sightseers yearly. These ruins houses these Temples for Sightseeing and is a visual delight. The Arch of Titus and Septimius Severus The Temple of Antoninus and Faustina The Temple of Romulus. The Basilica of Constantine, which has three remaining arches The Temple of Saturn, which has eight remaining columns We had a remarkable day trekking amongst the ancient ruins of Rome and learning the History of Italy.

Busy Rome - 3rd time in Rome and first for our friends. It was so busy that most attractions we only got to see outside. We tried booking well in advance and ended up trying to get tickets at sites. We did get into Castel Sant' Angelo, which is just amazing and offers beautiful views of Rome. Loads of access to many areas, which makes this one of the best castle visits anywhere. Not expensive to visit. You can line up and buy on the day, we waited half hour. Big Bus tour around Rome was not too bad, we used it more of a taxi to get to different areas. Spanish steps and Trevi fountain are a must and even if you visit the Colosseum from the outside, if you can't get tickets, that is still magical. If you want to see everything, give yourself a good 4-5 full days, book very early from the official site, not resellers and just go the fast pass. If you don't do fast pass you will be lining up everywhere and you will hate the experience. We stayed outside of Rome on an Olive farm in Casalazzara and caught the train into Termini station and it only cost us €3. That was perfect for us as we didn't want the beeping horns and garbage trucks keeping us awake.

Wait to book - Be careful booking this, you need to cancel 144 hours or 6 days before your tour for the colosseum. If your flight is delayed you will not be allowed to change the booking. You just lose your money. I’m sure it’s written somewhere, I wouldn’t book this until you’re here, even though it says it’s likely to sell out. Luckily I made it in time to take the other two tours I booked. I’m sure they have their reasons, just a tough pill to swallow; hope this helps you avoid the same fate.

Do not book through this company - Do not book through them. We showed up 10 minutes early as directed. They said the tour guide did not show up. We asked what our options were. They said we could try to call for a refund. We took the tickets and went inside and had no idea what to view. Then, had to wait in a really long line for Palatine Hill in the heat of the day/sun. Had we known it was going to be canceled we would have gone early in the morning and been prepared with what to do there- and bought much cheaper tickets. We tried to get a refund. It was painful. We didn't get all the money back as we should have with the terrible experience.
