It was built in 315 to commemorate the victory of Constantine I, the first Christian emperor in Roman history.
- Colosseum - After completing the entry procedures and mandatory security checks, you will join a small group (maximum 30 people) and then have the freedom to explore the Colosseum independently. The Colosseum, a symbol of Ancient Rome, is the largest Roman amphitheater ever built for gladiator games, remarkably well-preserved, and one of the most visited monuments in the world. It’s definitely a must-see!
- Palatine Hill - Following your visit to the Colosseum, you can explore the Palatine Hill/Roman Forum on your own. According to legend, Palatine Hill is where Rome was founded by Romulus thousands of years ago. This lush area is filled with ancient temples and residences, including the magnificent homes of Roman emperors. It truly is an open-air museum!
- Roman Forum - The Roman Forum, the heart of the Roman Republic where all public activities occurred, is the most evocative space from Roman times. Many temples, houses, and other magnificent structures like basilicas are still well-preserved and visible. Enjoy walking along Roman roads through their columns, just like a true Roman citizen!

Following the new directives of the Colosseum, it is mandatory to have the FULL NAME OF ALL PARTICIPANTS
You will be added to a small group after the entry procedures and the mandatory security checks, you’ll be free to explore the Colosseum on your own.After the visit of the Colosseum (around 1h), with the same tickets, you will be able to visit always by yourself the both sites: the Palatine Hill/Roman Forum.
- MEETING POINT ( REDEMPTION POINT) : Pick up your tickets at the ARCH OF CONSTANTINE (side of the Colosseum). You will meet our staff (remember: 15 MINUTES PRIOR to the arranged time) who will hold a BLACK FLAG.
- Following the new directives of the Colosseum, the ticket to the Colosseum is nominative and therefore it is mandatory to provide the FULL NAME OF ALL PARTICIPANTS.
- You will be added to a group with a privileged entrance and after the security check you’ll be free to explore the Colosseum by yourself.
- After the visit of the Colosseum (around 1h), with the same tickets, you will be able to visit always by yourself the both sites: the Palatine Hill/Roman Forum.
- The Colosseum requires mandatory entry procedures (show children/under 18 to the staff, voucher exchange) and mandatory security check that must be carried out. This could require to wait a little more before entering the monument.
- The Colosseum’s capacity regulations (no more than 3000 people inside at the same time) may delay the tour departure. This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays, weekends and during high season.
- Children/under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must carry ID passports or a valid identity document (also a digital copy), because the Colosseum staff may ask to check them at the entrance.
- The Colosseum area is an open archaeological park and for this reason is not equipped with sun/rain covers and shops. The local operator is not responsible for any kind of discomfort due to this.
- Please wear comfortable shoes and bring your own bottle of water (no glass bottles/no alcohol).
- The local operator is not responsible for any inconvenience caused by the closure of the Colosseum/Palatine Hill/Roman Forum due to strikes, events, bad weather, etc.
- It is forbidden to enter the Colosseum and Palatine Hill/Roman Forum with with BULKY luggages, handbags. Please be aware that there is no luggage storage and that we cannot keep your stuff. Take only the necessary stuff: camera, plastic bottles, documents, wallets etc
- It is strictly forbidden to enter the Colosseum with knives and any kind of cutting object. Pay attention not to bring with you this kind of stuff.
- This ticket does NOT includes the access to the Arena (except if you booked “Vip Arena Ticket” option).
- This tickets does NOT includes access to Underground.
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Children under 18 do not have to purchase a ticket, they can enter for free.
- The Audio Guide is an App for Smartphones. All the information to download the App will be provided after the purchase.
- Each participant should have their own set of earphones, as these will be needed to use the Audio Guide App.
- From October 27 to March 29: Opening Hours of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; Last Entry: 3:30 PM Closing Time: 4:30 PM. Make sure to plan your visit accordingly to fully enjoy these historic sites!
