Much better than walking by yourself - This was my second visit to the Colosseum and the Forum. I wanted to choose a guided tour this time, as I found it challenging to navigate the Forum alone during my first visit. I also wanted to learn more about what I was seeing. I am delighted that I decided to book a tour; it was well worth it! David was an excellent guide. He shared a wealth of information, brought additional pictures with him, and made the entire experience much more enjoyable than walking alone. I highly recommend this experience; it was very well-organized, and David was knowledgeable, polite, and entertaining. I learned so much during this tour thanks to him!

Definitely book this tour!! - Had the best time on this tour with Sylvia! We learned so much history and amazing facts about Roma. The tour was a few hours long and it was so interesting from beginning to end. Loved learning the history of the gladiators and I would highly recommend going with her to get an in depth tour of everything. I found them via Airbnb experiences and it was worth every penny. Thank you Sylvia !!!

Rome colosseum, forum and palantime hill in a nutshell - “This a good tour if you don’t want to be overwhelmed with the details and all the artefacts as you could be here for days looking at everything. Gio got us thru queues quickly which made our time better used. He took us to the key highlights and features and gave us the nutshell versions so we could have a good experience and get to see memorable aspects like Augustus house, Nero’s abode, Titus arch, great view points and of course the amazing Colosseum, and I’m awe struck by the Roman Forum area in itself. Gio was super considerate as I was walking w stick and always asked if I would like an easier way up the steps or hill. He also had a great sense of humor and made the tour enjoyable. He also knew great spots less crowded for some pics and toilets. I would recommend this tour especially if you want to skip queues, be well cared for and get a great overview without being overwhelmed.”

Giordano was a great well-informed guide. - Very clear instructions for meeting and what to wear and bring with you. Our guide was clear and concise. Giordano gave a great overview and history of the area and how things would have appeared. He did a great job keeping track of us in the crowds and provided a bathroom break when needed. His command of the history was impressive. I highly recommend this walking tour.

Highly recommend this tour. - We loved our tour guide. She was knowledgeable, funny & made the tour fun while informative. The site (Colosseum, Forum & Palatine Hill) not to be missed. End of the day tour reveals magic-hour light & we also had a rainbow. Meeting place & instructions were easy to follow. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Tour! - Margarita was our tour guide, and was was incredible! Her story telling was insightful and sassy, and I learned so much. We could tell she cared about making sure visitors knew the true history. She also gave us time to explore and take breaks, which was nice. I also loved that all the tickets were taken care of, so that was one less thing to care about.

Good! - Views were great, guide had lots of details... but this is one you can do without a guide. Not the guides fault!! Just that you can explore just as much without the guide (for these events only!)

Raced through the sites to make up starting an hour late - First, the day before the trip, they email you say that they are changing the start time from 9:00AM to 9:30AM. I was flying into Rome, then and so I did not receive the message until that morning. So I went for the original time in case the different time in the message was a typo. Secondly, we did not actually start until 9:45AM because they waited for late people and by the time we went online and hit into the Colosseum, it was 10AM… so we are starting the tour an hour after the time I paid for. I signed up for 9AM so it would not be too crowded. When I arrived at the site at that morning before 9AM, it still wasn’t that crowded. If we had started on time, the lines would it have been as long. Meanwhile, because it was crowded, the guide kept saying that it was too crowded to stop at places in the Colosseum and rushed us through it, just stopping a few times. It became even worse after we left the Colosseum. After a bathroom stop, the guide basically raced us through the rest of the tour so that we would end the tour at the original time… even though we started an hour late. There was no time to stop and take pictures. And my Mom was in pain trying to catch up because she was going so fast. We speed past other tours that actually stopped at different locations along the way and staid together in a group. As we raced through, she didn’t keep the pink scarf she had as an identifier up all the time, so we had to look out for other tour participants to know where to go. She didn’t look back for group members or even just say through the headphones where we were heading to next. Then at the next to last stop, I turned to take a picture and when I turned back around she was gone, no scarf up to find where she was. At this point it was towards the end of the tour and there were multiple streets she could have gone down. And she did not say over the headphones where she was headed even though everyone was not together. I reached out to the tour operator though the Trip Advisor app to find out where they went and they took forever to respond and when they did they were condescending. I just wanted to find my Mom, whose phone data was out and so I couldn’t call her. Luckily, the other tour participants were very nice and they reached out to me via text to tell me where to meet my Mom. Meanwhile, I had gone to the place the tour description said they’d end and they were not there. The. The tour responded in the app and said to go to another location. Then I heard from the tour member who texted that the tour guide took my Mom at the Metro Station. At that point the guide finally reached out and texted a link to the Metro Station… All this took about 40 minutes… a complete waste of time & time that could have been spent on the actual tour instead of racing us through it. The tour guide seems nice and knowledgeable. I assume it’s the tour company that told her to race us through to end at the same time even though we had a late start. In any case, it was a waste of money if you actually wanted to take time to see the sites, ask questions and take pictures. I left feeling I needed to do the tour again with another tour operator. I’ve been in Italy for 2 weeks so far and have taken a few tours. This is the only one that was rushed and felt like a waste.
