Our Complete Vatican Tour offers an exceptional exploration of the museum’s collections, providing a comprehensive insight into the art, architecture, and history within the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. This thoughtfully designed itinerary allows you to experience both the renowned attractions and hidden treasures in just over 3 hours. With skip-the-line access to the Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, there is no faster or more convenient way to enjoy the highlights of the Vatican.
Looking for a more relaxed afternoon experience? Opt for the Vatican Express Tour with Sistine Chapel for a leisurely visit after the crowds have dispersed (note: St. Peter’s Basilica is not included).
- Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
- The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and Saturdays and is subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will offer a more in-depth tour of the Museums.
- All guests (including children) must bring ID on the day of their tour.
- The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and must match the names on the ID/Passport. Name changes are not permitted.
- Between January 12 and March 31, 2026, the Vatican Museums will carry out a dedicated preservation project focused on Michelangelo’s “Last Judgment” in the Sistine Chapel. The Sistine Chapel will remain open to visitors, though this specific artwork will be temporarily out of view during the restoration period. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Vatica tour simply unforgettable - The tour with Walks of Italy was fantastic! Paola our guide has been so nice knowledgeble and professional that at the end we did not want to leave. The Vatican is a place to visit at least once in life, the richness of unique works, its beauty and history make it fascinating also for those who are not interested in art. The tour was perfectly organized, we could skip the line and even if the museum is huge we could focus the attention on the masterpieces without missing anything. We warmly suggest the visit and thank again Paola for the extraordinary experience.

Great experience with Laura from Walks - It was a fantastic morning in the Vatican. Our Walks guide, Paola F., was amazing! Knowledgeable, kind and with a great sense of humour. Really enjoyed her commentary!
The Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and S. Peter's Basilica are spectacular and, thanks to Paola and Walks, I had a most wonderful experience.

Great tour with a... - Great tour with a wonderful guide! Would highly recommend this group tour. Our guide seamlessly guided us through the crowds, ensuring a smooth tour from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable and gave an informative description of all the many beautiful pieces of the Vatican.

Early Morning Vatican Tour - This was a great tour of the museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Even though we booked the 7:15 am tour it was still extremely crowded by the time we reached St. Peter's; I can't imagine going any later in the day. It was great being able to use the direct walkway to get to St. Peter's so we didn't have to go through security again. Our guide was very knowledgeable and she did a good job of covering all the main sites and she was good at keeping our group all together

Awesome guide, learned & saw a lot .. - The tour was great. So much history and great art to see and learn about. Our guide (apologies for not remembering her name) was FANTASTIC. She was SOOOO knowledgeable, had a great understanding of what happened and why, good sense of humor. I learned so much not about just the Vatican, but about Rome & Italy as well. Well done. The next time I want a tour this company is the first (& only) place I will use.

It’s a whirlwind of... - It’s a whirlwind of information expertly delivered. You don’t get to see st marks square. Best time of day for the tour was a the last one in the day.

Nice tour, but very crowded. - Very informative, but very crowded. Our guide Paola was very good. Many parts were closed last minute as the Pope was having a special service/meeting, so we weren't able to go to St. Peter's Basilica or the square. While disappointing, we did see a lot. Due to the closures there was overcrowding in many areas with multiple tour groups and regular patrons. If you have walking handicaps, this may be too difficult to navigate.

No show tour guide - I scheduled this tour for 4:15,no one showed up and I had to go through the trip advisor app to see that the tour was changed to 1:15. I received no email to this change, I had to completely change the entire schedule of my Italy trip because of this. NOT HAPPY!!!!!!

Tour guide too far - like we didn’t exist - I was expecting a guided tour and this was not. Although we had a giude - it was if she was giving the tour for herself- just kept walking without any concern for the participants. At one point I had to catch up to her tap her and let her know the rest of group was way back. She was so far ahead that we couldn’t even hear about the sites. It was expensive and a waste because we basically walked through ourself. Custom service also horrible, I emailed them my concerns and it has not been addressed in 2 months. We wasted lots of money to try to chase a tour guide that we couldn’t even hear on the headphones cause she was so far away.
