A fantastic experience, a beautiful setting, and an outstanding instructor! - This class was a highlight of our time in Italy! Christina and her daughter Valentina were incredibly gracious hosts. We loved everything about this class, from making the delicious tiramisu, practicing the techniques for fettuccine and gnocchi, and learning about the traditional sauces of Rome. We got to enjoy bruschetta, cheese, sausage, and wine, along with all the wonderful food we made in a BEAUTIFUL outdoor setting (the location was just as fabulous as the class!). We all agreed that we wish we had more time in Rome to take another class with Christina.

Excellent introduction to Italian cooking - The experience was exactly as advertised. We made Gricia pasta, gnocchi, and tiramisu. We now know they are easy enough for anyone, including kids. The food was delicious. The chef was friendly, knowledgeable and has a beautiful villa.

Amazing! - What an incredible experience. The cooking class was so cool but it was the fellowship and amazing conversation that stood out. An amazing family company that I will absolutely keep in touch with. “Whippie Cream” ❤️

Best Tour In Rome - The entire experience was beyond fantastic! The ladies were so wonderful and fun to spend the day with, not to mention my nephew and husband didn't want to leave the place! Between the views and the company (and great food and wine), we will always include an event with Local Aroma when we are in Italy!!!

Best Cooking Class in Rome!! - I wish I could give 6 stars so that this experience would stand out above all the rest. Our family spent a week in Rome and we tried 4 other experiences- all excellent. This was the unanimous choice for favorite activity for all 4 of us. Benne and Christina made the cooking class fun and easy to understand. We all felt as though we can make the best pasta, gnocchi, and tiramisu we’ve ever tasted after we get back home. These women are literally YouTube stars. We ate at a Michelin star restaurant one night and the food we made and at here was the best food we had our entire trip. Please do yourself the favor and book this cooking class over all the others.

Local Aroma Love! - This was an amazing experience. At first I was skeptical, especially being alone, however once I arrived inside the apartment, my mind was immediately put at ease. I was supposed to be cooking in a group of 8, with another couple and a family. However, with a last minute cancellation, there were only 3 of us, with our chef and host. We began with some Prosecco, and tiramisu in order to allow it to set. Then we moved on to ravioli and gnocchi. The views of the Vatican were amazing during the entire class, where we worked in the kitchen overseeing the dome. With such a small group, we were able to spread out, but regardless, both our host and chef were welcoming, answered lots of questions, and continued to wine and dine us. We sampled olive oils and salts in between cooking courses. When the final touches were being put on our plates, we were escorted into the dining room, over looking the sunset on the other side of the apartment to relax and enjoy more sparkling wine. The food was exquisite, and so filling! What a perfect end to my Italian journey. Thank you Local Aromas!

A Valentine's Day for the Books! - I took the group cooking class on Valentine's Day, and I am so glad that I did. Carla and Giulia welcomed me with open arms, and were great hosts, chefs and photographers. I do not cook at home, but I loved the class, and the other two couples were lovely. The view from the location is absolutely exquisite. The cooking instruction is clear and easy, but the recipes are also sophisticated and delicious. After we cooked, we were led into a candlelit room to enjoy our dinner. Wine is served throughout. :-) By the time the class ended, I felt like I had 6 new friends. Carla and Giulia also recommended locations for a birthday party for my mother, and helped me find a cab to a party I had to attend after the class. If you want to do something authentic in Rome (even as a solo traveler), schedule this first, and plan everything else around this. Also, Local Aromas will send you restaurant recommendations and a recap of the recipes. Until next time!
