Fantastic evening in Rome - We did this talking food and drink tour with Gian Luca our first evening in Rome in late September. We had arrived by train a few hours before and thought this would be a great way to see some parts of the city outside of the main tourist destinations that we might not otherwise get to see while at the same time getting a chance to chat with a local guide and other tourists. We've made a habit of adding a tour like this in cities we visit, especially abroad, and they never disappoint. Gian Luca was very friendly, funny, and informative. It was a perfect mix of walking history and city tour with frequent stops for delicious food and drink. We started in Camp de Fiori and made our way across the river and into the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere. All of the food and drink were delicious but some highlights included sparkling wine and caprese salad on an island in the middle of the Tiber, a visit to the oldest wine cellar in Rome, and ending with gelato. It was plenty of food and drink so don't think you need a dinner reservation after the tour. I would highly recommend working this tour into your Rome itinerary, especially if you may not get to these neighborhoods otherwise.

Great walking tour through the heart of Roma - This was such a fun and interesting tour. Luca took my husband and I through the streets of Rome, adding colorful historical anecdotes to every step along the way. It’s the perfect balance of learning and eating, my preferred way of getting to know an area. The food was amazing, as to be expected! As well, Luca had a great attitude when there was an unexpected fashion disaster on our tour. 10/10 would do again.

Food and Culture of Contemporary Rome - Amin, the tour leader was professional, knowledgeable and extremely patient. He is clearly passionate about his work and went to great lengths to ensure that everyone in the group was included. The food was exceptional and the knowledge imparted to the group gave us a real insight into Roman history and current culture. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the food and culture of contemporary Rome.

Great introduction to Rome - This was a perfect way to acclimate to the city on our first night in Rome. Our guide, Elisa, was AMAZING! We also got lucky: We were the only two people who signed up for the 5:45 p.m. tour, and instead of canceling, we got a private tour! Eliza was so knowledgeable and wove history and the connection of food into our tour. At each stop, we got a dish and a drink. All the food was so good, and we are so appreciative of all the knowledge Elisa shared!

Satisfaction for Our Brain and Stomach - Our family of five were the only ones signed up for the timeslot so we had a private tour. We had an excellent time with Kat! She was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and Roman food. Her passion for Roman culture and food was infectious. We loved the walk around the neighborhoods and the pace was just perfect. The food at every stop was delicious. It was the perfect start to our stay in Rome.
