Fantastic Trip - Our tour guide Valentina met us in Rome and stayed with us most of the day. Giovani was our guide for Uffizi and the city, he was a wealth of information and actually made it nice for people who weren’t that knowledgeable about art. Free time in afternoon was great to shop and find a cocktail near the piazzas. Great experience, and 5 stars for Valentina and Giovani!

Saw a lot for a one day trip! - We had a really good time on this day trip to Florence. It was a quick and pleasant ride on the train and then a short walk to meet the local guide. The guide was excellent in the Uffizi and we learned a lot. We then had the rest of the day to explore on our own. It was extremely hot, but that was to be expected for traveling in August. At the end of the day we had a meetup point and short walk back to the train station. It was a long day, but we had a great time and saw a lot!!

Excellent guide for Uzzizi - Our guide for the Uzzizi museum was so excellent! She was so extremely knowledgeable about the history of the museum and the treasures within. Her deep knowledge brought the masterpieces to life and we now have adeep appreciation for the experience!

Good trip, well organized - The trip was well organized and the guides were great. Despite the blazing heat, we were able to cover a lot of ground.

Florence is where independent human thought was born. - Michela was grea.. She ensured we were well taken care of and guided us ably through the trip. Giovanni, the guide in Florence is a proud historian of Florence. He brought alive the importance of Florence in furthering rational thought during the Renaissance. Overall two people who made the trip easy and insightful.

Good - Trying to connect with the tour guide. Otherwise Florence was great besides there being a marathon in the city center.

Good guide - Very good tour guide in Florence. Viator should have made it more clear that I didn't have an access ticket to the Duomo, I was under the impression I did have, so mainly my fault, but I was very disappointed.

Globus tours used to be the best of the best. - Globus has been our GO TO for tours in the past. This tour did not meet our expectations. The written description of the tour sounds amazing. There is a lot of creative writing in that description. Halifax was nice. There is a lot of driving once you leave Halifax and very little stopping. One night we were told we would have this fabulous Lobster dinner. This dinner ended up being more like cramming a bunch of people into a Golden Coral for Lobster. We were herded in and out like sheep. Not enjoyable. We were supposed to learn about lobster fishing one day. What we got was a tour guide showing us a lobster cage on land near the harbor. Then telling us how it worked. That was it! The Cabot trail was lovely, but you literally drive all day and stop 2-3 times for about 15 minutes. Our tour guide did the best she could to entertain us. We chose the optional overnight train ride to Montreal in a sleeper car. This was a total disaster. This train travels on the minimally maintained track (the guide on the train told us this!). It was a very rough 23 hour trip. The sleeper room is big enough for one adult human at best. But we had two in each room with bunk beds. These beds are dangerous due to the constant rough motion of the train. Anyone over 60 should not consider this trip. It is not safe. There was no WiFi except in the food car. No TV, no entertainment. Nothing. The Dome car that was supposed to be the highlight of this train. Did not exist and has not existed since 2020. This was the car where you were supposed to sit and view the beautiful landscape. Did not happen. You can look out the filthy car windows instead. The food was just okay. When we arrived in Montreal the tour guide met us and walked us up the escalator to the hotel which is over the train and subway system. That was it. She told us a few tips and we were then on our own. Also, no one told us that the hospitality workers were on strike so the hotel had all restaurants, bars, pool shut down! We were there two nights, on our departure day, Monday. The workers decided they could work that day. Apparently, The strike is on a day by day basis. That was it. 11 days total. Extremely disappointed in Globus.
