Superb Trip - Superb trip with Barbara, our wonderful guide for the day. We had a very small group - 6 tourists, and Barbara navigated the tour at a very relaxed pace. Sermoneta is a stunning little city with fantastic history dating from around 1100. The gardens of Ninfa are truly superb - green, quiet and beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful day Barbara!

Great Experience - This was my favorite day in Italy, the town was so quaint and the castle and gardens were beautiful. There were no other tours there so we pretty much had the area to ourselves. Our guide Barbara was laid back and very knowledgeable about the area and the history. We couldn't have asked for a better day.

Beautiful, Quiet, Interesting Day Outside of Rome - If you love gardens, want to see the Italian countryside, and would welcome a day away from the fantastic bustle of Rome, this is a day trip to consider. Without a car, getting to the Ninfa Gardens is tricky (train plus taxi or bus), and the opening times are quite limited, so this is a great way to see them, to visit a Medieval castle and town, and to have a short break from Rome. Our coordinator, Barbara, was great. She is not a guide, but a facilitator on the train (we took the train to avoid slow beach traffic), with the van driver (a Mercedes, in case you care), and with the guides at both sites as well as at lunch. Sometimes, she seemed more interested and informed than the official guides! Overall, this was a pleasant day with no glitches, and I recommend it highly.

Superb in every way! - This trip is for anybody who likes their history and/or their gardens! The Caetani castle is a great example of 14th century architecture, in a classical setting on a small peak. The whole village is picturesque, cheerful, friendly, and puts on a good lunch.

A wonderful journey thru time - Inside the castle, going thru the secret passage. Seeing the stable where the knights kept their 40 horses. The room of frescoes in the castle. Smelling a beautiful white rose in the Garden of Ninfa. Hearing the birds and the water in the beautiful, calm, green Garden.

Superb in every way! - If you have any interest in garden layouts and arrangements this is a must see! Castello Caetani first is well worth the trip, going through little passages in the walls, and down to the stables, its a great insight into the 14th Century. After lunch down to the beautiful gardens of Ninfa is glorious. Its an English garden layed out over an old ruined village, with watercourses at many turns. I half expected to see Ophelia from the Millais painting go drifting by . A great trip.

Don’t do it. - Do not waste your time. Just more dilapidated buildings and a few flowers. A waste of time, money and driving. Don’t do it.
