Following the tasting you’ll have 30 minutes to explore the town and, if you enjoyed what you tried, buy some limoncello to take home.
- Positano - Board your next ferry for another boat ride down the picturesque Amalfi Coast to Positano. This small fishing town has long been the holiday destination of choice for VIPs—from the Romantic poets of the 19th century to today’s Hollywood stars. After an orientation walk with your guide you’ll have two hours of free time in which you can browse the boutiques filled with world-famous beachwear, have leather sandals made to fit your feet and/or enjoy a relaxing lunch of local delicacies at a seaside cafe. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit too—there’s nothing nicer on a summer’s day than a dip in the sea.
- Salerno - After you’ve gotten to know Positano, head back on the boat for a return cruise to Salerno where you’ll catch the train back to Rome.
- Termini - Finish your trip with a train ride back to Rome.

Avoid the tedium of an 8-hour return road trip from Rome and instead, join your guide on a 2-hour high-speed train to Salerno together where you’ll hop on a boat ride that takes you along the stunning Amalfi Coast. The first stop is Amalfi for a visit to a family-run lemon orchard with stunning views of the sea and a tasting of their homemade limoncello. Then, embark on another ferry ride along the epic coastline to Positano, a small fishing town that has long been the holiday destination of choice for VIPs. After an orientation walk with your guide, you’ll have two hours of free time to browse the boutiques, enjoy lunch at a seaside cafe (costs not included), or go for a dip in the sea. This full-day excursion with an expert guide and roundtrip transportation to and from Rome is the perfect way to explore the beautiful Amalfi Coast.
- Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate guests with mobility impairments, wheelchairs or strollers on this tour.
- In order to reach the lemon farm, guests must walk approx. 200 steps. You may opt for free time on your own on the Amalfi Coast instead.
- In the case of heavy rain, the limoncello tasting will be in the town of Amalfi instead of the farm.
- Please note: In the rare event of rough seas where it is impossible to travel by ferry, we will provide a private bus to take you up and down the coast so you won’t miss a thing!

Best way to see amalfi coast and positano especially if you’re short on time. - This was a very well organized tour! We wouldn’t have been able to coordinate and maneuver all the boat travel ourselves. Our guide, Flavia, was wonderful and gave us options and great recommendations for lunch etc. The lemon farm tour was so nice and the views are spectacular! We loved the amalfi coast. We are glad we got to see positano but if we had to do it again, we would just spend the entire time at amalfi coast. Be ready for a long (70 minute) boat ride back from positano if you get seasick.
Our guide was so great, tour was well organized, and informative. Love that it is a small group (less than 14).

Memorial experience - What an amazing experience ! I highly recommend this day tour. A great way to see amalfi coast and positano via boat hopping was breath taking. Very well organised, I travelled with my mother and we loved every moment .Federico was fantastic and can't recommend his service enough!

Perfect Day - The trip was amazing. We debated on whether to leave Rome for a day and I’m so glad we did. Our guide John Paul was great. Very good balance of guide and free time. Made getting out of town and on the train quite simple. Would absolutely recommend.

Amalfi Coast in a unique and immersive way - I had the opportunity to take a tour of the Amalfi Coast traveling by train and ferry, and it was an unforgettable experience. The guides were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, which added so much value to the trip.
One of the most memorable parts of the tour was the walk up to the lemon farm. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and learning about the process of making limoncello was very interesting. It was a unique and authentic experience that I'll always remember.
Lunch at a beachfront restaurant was another highlight of the tour. The food was delicious, and the view of the coast was breathtaking. It was the perfect way to relax and savor the beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
Finally, the view from the ferry was simply amazing. Being able to see the picturesque coastline from the water was truly unforgettable. It's a perspective that you just can't get from land.
Overall, the tour was fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the Amalfi Coast in a unique and immersive way.

Wonderful - I love love it! Great day trip from Rome. Amalfi and Positano were amazing. The tour made it easy and organized the train and the boat hopping. So all you have to do is relax and follow. They also give you a map of Positano and all the best recommended restaurants, dessert spots, and shops. Definitely highly recommend!

A must try - Wonderful trip, excellent guide (Roberta) and a great experience. The only reason I didn’t not give 5 stars is because we had to travel by bus and not train which added and extra fees hours onto the day.

Wonderful experience . - What can I say it’s the AMALFI coast . The boat ride was nice , however , for the amount of money I paid , I should have had a reserved seat up on the top deck . Obviously those were taken first. I ended up standing to take pictures , but that’s ok I was aw struck . The guides took good care of us to make sure we got on the right train and boat . I loved all of it , even though it ended up raining in positano . I would recommend this trip if you are dreaming of visiting the coast
