Not just the usual tourist sites, this is an enjoyable and interesting walk around Rome - This is a lovely walking tour of some of the less-famous but interesting parts of Rome. We had a lovely guide who had palpable passion and energy for her subject. She had a great sense of humour too. Those things make the difference between a good tour and a great one. The walk is nice and easy, and goes into some interesting history of various locations - even locations you've walked through a a dozen times such as piazza navone are brought to life through the history of some of the colourful characters who lived (and died) there. If you're after a tour of the usual tourist sites (Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, pantheon) then this isn't it. Which is exactly why I booked it! And I was very glad I did - it was just what I wanted, a tour of the bits of Rome you haven't already seen on a thousand postcards. My son and I really enjoyed this tour and loved the energetic commentary from our tour guide. Recommended.
