Enchanting night at the opera - Easy to book, pay and enjoy. It was a last minute decision and yet we were able to find it easily. Everything went super smooth.

Beautiful production - This was a really well-done production in an intimate space. It didn't have the lux set, the full orchestra, set changes, but it didn't need all that. We were able to understand what was going on for the most part (read up on it on Google before you go, if you are not familiar with the story). The performers were all amazing, I wouldn't be surprised to see them on a big stage performing this opera anywhere!

Lovely opera in a beautiful church - Wonderful singers in a beautiful church. They had two ballet dancers who weren't very good and completely superfluous. Great evening apart from a wriggling audience and loads of people taking videos (one with a selfie stick) in spite of being told not to. Another night the audience might be better behaved but the event was good.

A delight! - The highlights of our four day visit were our evenings at the opera, La Traviata and Opera Arias and Neapolitan songs, in St Paul's within the Walls and the Waldesian church. Wonderful performances from all the lead vocalists in La Traviata, in particular Cristian Alderete, with fantastic music accompaniment, especially the violin. Superb tenor and soprano performances in the Arias and Neapolitan songs. We particularly enjoyed Adriano Gentili on both nights that we heard him. This is definitely a treat on a visit to Rome and we will be back. Thank-you 👏

Great operatic experience - Delightful opera production. The singer playing Violetta, in particular, was excellent. The venue was very atmospheric. .

Decent opera for beginners - We booked the show without knowing Italian thinking our Spanish might help. However, we were lost throughout the over two hour show. We did not receive a program but followed a fellow reviewer’s advice to look up the synopsis of the opera to understand the storyline. The opera singers had great voices. Venue and stage are within a church. Overall not bad but would like an authentic opera in an opera house next time.

Overall - disappointing - would not go again. - I found my visit really disappointing and would not go again or recommend. Admittedly I was in the front row and central of the cheaper back tickets but I did expect to see more than an occasional head if the singer stood in the gap between audience heads. Basically I could see virtually nothing at all! I am an opera goer and would describe this more as opera as a tourist attraction rather than for opera lovers. The whole point of going to the opera is the immersive experience that was utterly lacking here. You don't even get given a programme with synopsis or any info - you are just handed their publicity leaflet - that is probably a dead give away. Fortunately I know this opera really well. The lead singer was very good, the costumes were good - I could see more after the interval when so many of the audience had got fed up and left. They are not on a stage and I would describe the acting more as stand and deliver - presumably this is why there are ballet dancers - you could at least see more of them when held in the air! The church itself was beautiful so resolved to listen to the music but look at the church - there are plenty of mosiac and painted figures who I imagined taking part or commenting on the performance to fill the visually gap in the performance. This is the only time I left slight before the end of anything so I would not miss my bus back to the vatican as no metro in the evenings. I felt a little ripped off! Thank goodness I had not paid more - I think you would need the most expensive tickets only to get a good view which were more than my La Scala tickets in January! I would say - if you love the opera think twice about this one.

Awful Experience - There was a terrible noise all the way through the performance. We literally could not concentrate on the singing - we could hardly hear it! We complained and were told that nothing could be done and we were made to feel bad for complaining about it - but lots of people were just leaving having paid a lot of money for their tickets. The staff were not very professional and poorly trained. And the Manager was genuinely nasty and so so rude. We left and would never recommend this experience to anybody. It's a horrible place. The Church shouldn't host them. I've been to the theatre hundreds of times and I have never ever had this experience.

Terrible..!!! - Terrible..!!! I have seen better high school performances. Staff was rude, catered to Italian and Spanish speaking patrons. Temperature was unbearably hot, the fans did nothing. Save your money and time, skip this..!!!
